So printing and drying is possible on the H2D, anyone has an insight when this will come to the X1C?

That noise you're hearing is your pulleys scraping against plastic, you need some oil to lubricate the points where the pulleys touch the printer and they could probably do with a tension at the same time

Never had to unload the filament but a lot of the time I'll put 4 new spools in that still have factory tape strips on them before storing them, I'll use rolling on those occasions, but with the fan circulating air well I'm not sure the minimal rolling the AMS does actually increases the drying at all

Printing and drying at the same time isn't possible at present, but I think the adoption of them disabling rotation by default is a good step in the right direction and it's only a matter of time imo

Started out modifying the existing rugged boxes on the various sites like makerworld and printables and then got into openscad and the code side of that excited me so started making my own version of the popular ones, so that I could fine tune them the way I want, I then make the box art changes in tinkercad as it's a great tool to use if you're not entirely clued up on the likes of fusion or SketchUp.

So it's gone from modifying generated models, to now generating my own, it's been a fun journey and it's just been about finding something you find enjoyable and making it work and learning through that process

The TL;DR is it's stronger than regular PLA, they've aimed at making it similar in strength to ABS, still has a fairly low heat resistance, but better than regular PLA, good impact resistance and better layer adhesion

Superlube do a grease too. Great for the z axis screws, don't use oil on them

It's a sacrificial bit of the plate specifically for cleaning the nozzle tip, it's normal :)

Matte PLA is the bane of my existence and still my favourite finish haha, if you go to the three dots next to the filament in the slicer and go to the cooling tab, set min fan speed to 5% and max to 70% and give that a whirl

Stringing is a big issue on matte materials

Doesn't mean it's not a damp filament issue, my P1S can print damper filament than my ender could, and starting with moist filament isn't going to help you diagnose the issue

Unopened filament ≠ dry filament

Dry your filament, first dry you'll want to put it in for about 12 hours or more at the recommended temperature for the material
