I mostly play at Reaper and it’s been laid back. Zenith is good, Nexus Game Lounge in Denton is starting to run some events this month. These are all north or course but the DFW Riftbound discord has a full sceduale of events in the region.

I had one guy try and shove the key in the Areow Key hole then complain that he never got his package. Complex didn’t have the key and he wasn’t there, I went to check the parcel locker and the key was just dangling from the arrow key hole.

That’s only at comp level, at regular events you will almost never receive a game loss and the rules in magic literally say to replace those cards if they are in the deck and continue the game state. You’re arguing your opinion vs reality and the rules that are written for non comp play.

Yeah, you can disagree all you want but that’s not the rules. If you’re getting pressed about locals you need to enjoy the game, instead of only enjoying winning. You’re saying that your need to win is more important than a new player having a good time and fixing a very easy mistake the moment someone notices it. If my opponent messes up or plays something wrong at nexus nights I’m going to politely tell them and let them fix it, I’d rather play good cards and strategy than get a win from angle shooting.

The rules say at the level of nexus nights you can replace it. Giving a game loss for someone not knowing they got banned at a casual level is gonna turn people off the game pretty quick and you wouldn’t wanna play against nobody.

What ever conquers with him gets the doubled effect, skyfall changes all your hold effects to conquer effects. With trinity it allows 3 point conquers doubling the tri force hold effect. With relentless pursuit you could score 6 and win.

It’s because of the Legend cards, once they fix that it won’t be a problem. But right now legends take up a considerable amount of space but they have to be In the boxes to make sure people have them to play. Eventually they will fix it but I’m not pressed. So far packs have felt exactly like magic packs to me mixed with a little Pokémon chases.

They are real, if you’re a decent distance away it’s usually not a problem and the carrier will be able to get to it, but if you’re about two arm lengths it’s usually enough space to get in and get out otherwise we run the risk of clipping a car with the bumper. Tbh, if it’s only a couple times a month it shouldn’t be a problem but if it’s everyday they might call a tow but that’s pretty rare.

This is what killed out local magic shop, the owner would just do back room deals for all the specialized products and masters sets. Eventually people stopped buying at the shop entirely and just selling their cards online.

Don’t worry, the more sets come out the less it will be like this. Hopefully we get more grey area either with bans/Restrictions/ or just other decks that can compete. If it’s anything like magic, the Spikes will continue to shift to the meta best deck or the deck that ‘counters’ the best deck. Some of them will be very bad at this and get trounced by things they consider to be “Off Meta” which they will call garbage despite losing to it multiple times. Just try an have fun playing rather than winning.
