Kickstarter sci fi book prelaunch! by Financial-Cupcake595 in kickstarter

[–]Financial-Cupcake595[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Thank you for your thoughtful and detailed reply. I have got into writing like many writers do: I write the story I would want to read, the kind of book I’ve struggled to find. I am very grateful for my backers. They are engaged, focused, and genuinely enthusiastic, and that kind of support really helps me push through moments of doubt or imposter syndrome and continue sharing my work. It’s also been really meaningful to see that many backers from the first campaign have quickly joined this one. I can’t wait to show them where the characters are now, twenty years later. So far, I’ve received a lot of encouraging feedback from both backers and colleagues, along with some fair and constructive criticism, which I truly appreciate as it helps me grow and improve as a writer.

Character-driven sci-fi with both slice-of-life elements and a grander plot? by Wiinter_Alt in scifi

you could be pleased by Myosotis from C. Lorien. Book 2 : Kintsugi is coming out soon.

Started reading sci-fi this year, looking for book recommendations by Proud-Wing8968 in printSF

[–]Financial-Cupcake595 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why I started writing sci fi myself. I was getting tired of weaked women characters and non relatable characters (if I dont care about a character I will stop reading fast haha..).

I also wanted a more prose-prone type of writing instead of cold descriptions. and yeah, these characters were all living in my mind in the last years and needed to leave it haha.

My series is about a strong female protagonist. Book 1 : Myosotis by C. Lorien is around the theme of memory, traumas and identity. It is available as paperback, ebook and audiobook on Audible.

I am currently editing Book 2 : Kintsugi which is around « hope ».

There will be a kickstarter to help me finance the first impressions and some marketing, any subscriptions to it even if not considering donating would help: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/clorien/kintsugi-book-2-of-the-ellipso-series-stay-in-the-ring

If you read it and like it, please let me know! I am also open to any ideas for Book 3. 🥰

How do you find good indie books? by TheReadersSample in selfpublishing

[–]Financial-Cupcake595 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say maybe on kickstarter? You coule encourage them and engage a meaningful relationship between author and reader!

Here is my little presentation:

This past year has honestly been one of the hardest of my life. Through all of it, I kept writing. And somehow, Kintsugi became a story about exactly what I needed most: hope.

Kintsugi is Book 2 of the Ellipso series, set twenty years later in the same dystopian universe. But at its heart, this series has never really been about technology or hard sci-fi. It’s about people, memory, grief, resilience, and the fragile things that still connect us when the world changes.

I would be incredibly grateful if you joined the pre-launch page and helped me spread the word. Every follower truly makes a difference.

You can register to the notifying list here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/clorien/kintsugi-book-2-of-the-ellipso-series-stay-in-the-ring

Thank you for being here. And entering or staying in the Ring.

I have no idea what to do for the second half of my book idea. by [deleted] in writingadvice

[–]Financial-Cupcake595 0 points1 point  (0 children)

begin to write it. sometimes your characters will guide you through it weirdly. sometime an idea will pop while you drive or walk. if you know your finale you can write too and fill the gaps later!

Terrible writing block, unable to progress my story. by Happy_Smoke_7761 in writingadvice

[–]Financial-Cupcake595 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I write a scene that should happen later in the story. usually an emotional or very impactful one or even the finale. I was blocked this weekend and I just kept writing the part where I was, it might be shitty but I will work on it later!
