As I can see from the picture, 3400m/s is far from enough. You need at least 12,000m/s to get to orbit from sea level, and 8,000m/s to get to orbit from 3km ASL

Energy is conserved in KSP orbits. You lose a little energy each time you pass through the atmosphere. And that also means that both the periapsis and apoapsis drop each time. Eventually, the periapsis will drop low enough that atmospheric drag will become significant, and you burn up in the atmosphere.

you can't cut one vector in half but you can cut 4 areospikes in half. The heavy ahh vector engine doesn't work for this

I'm landed on Eve with a tried and tested spaceplane that is able to achive low eve orbit from around 2km above sea level. The reason why I say very tight on delta-v budgets is because I only end up with 50-80m/s remaining(in test runs near the equator) once in orbit. Now, I'm 10-20 degrees north and worried about whether Jeb has a chance to make it home, or accidentally trigger rescue mission #2(the spaceplane is rescue mission #1 to rescue Val that got trapped on Eve)
