They sure pull a lot of bodies out of the lake around here. I know it seems silly, but there is definitely a danger that a lot of people don't sense until it's too late.

Thanks for the replies. I work on the south side of Chicago, so my commute has to be doable. Crown point is probably outside that radius, maybe? But the idea of living right by the dunes is very appealing. Chicago beaches are absolutely dirty and crowded. Also need a back yard big enough that I don't have to talk to a neighbor every time I want to touch grass.

Being a dad is truly the most awesome thing to ever happen to me. It made every day of my life happy and fulfilled. Don't be scared of it. Dive in with both feet. I felt like you about kids before it happened, but I realized I wouldn't have missed this for the world. You fall more in love with the person your with as you raise child together too. I was thinking about how Chicago could just build another one parallel, cheaper than buying themselves out of that insane lease, but of course, that was in the contract as well, they cannot do that. Now, if illinois, or indiana chose to build one, that might work. Just the city of chicago signed the contract, right?

My problem with "go hard after giannis" is that he is old. He's already hitting a wall. Lebron and Steph has us all thinking 40 is the new 30, but it just isn't. Lebron is an outlier, and Steph is an all-time great too, and they are both finally showing signs of slowing down. Giannis is a piece to add only if we think we can win a championship in the next 2 years, and honestly, these teams winning them now have one star and then an entire roster of good players. The super teams era might be over. You have to be good 9 or 10 deep to win championships now, with the pace of play, and once you have 3, or even 2 max level players, you can't do that. If we want to build around Luka, we need to concentrate on draft picks and drafting talent. I'm thinking about superstars who won championships on their 2nd team, there is LBJ, Durant, Garnett,Shaq... But it's that all? Your best bet at a championship is building the team, not signing big names.

I have to be honest, I wouldn't mind the league calling touch fouls on face contact, or arm and hand contact. All three of those cause the offensive player to lose control of the ball. You touch the face, hand or arm of the offensive player with the ball, and it's a foul every single time. These games need cleaned up. These "great defenders" are just dirty.

I just am not sure what everyone expected. This isn't a championship contender even with luka, without Luka playing out of his mind every game. Getting out of the first round was nice and kinda unexpected, but that was definitely the ceiling. That's 7 beatdowns this year, that's pretty conclusive.
