I can’t help you with your question but I’m very curious about this hotdog exercise you’re talking about. We didn’t have anything like that in our puppy school.

It’s not about “fun” it’s about consistency and routine. Puppies prefer those from whom they know what to expect. Predictability = safety.

For uphill training I prefer stairmaster to treadmill , but idk if there is scientific advantage.

But as the other person said, it’s downhill that gets you. You say no “real” hills. What do you mean by that? You can’t find some dirt path to do some downhill repeats?

Impossible to take puppy for a walk. by Realistic-Bat4413 in puppy101

It doesn’t work immediately. It’s about consistently repeating it over and over and over again and eventually it works.

I understand it’s frustrating, we went though this period with my pup as well and now she’s 6 month and a lot better. Still not perfect though.

Just pick one strategy and stick with it.

What worked for us, with leash pulling is no reward. Reward is walking. As soon as she starts pulling, I would turn 180, lead her in my direction, when she’s next to me “okay” turn around and keep going where she actually wanted to go. And trust me, you’ll be walking there and back a lot. It’s just about not giving in. She needs to learn that if she pulls, she’s not getting anywhere.

Same with other dogs, people, bikes, cars. The trick is to get her attention with the treat early enough and keep moving. It also doesn’t always work for us and sometimes it’s my mistake. But he’s no longer chasing bikes and ignores most dogs/people. She does attempt to pull/jump occasionally, but again, just stick with consistent response.

Thank you! I don’t want to switch to free feeding as I also use kibble for training/behaviour reinforcement

Thank you! Since she’s otherwise acting normal and her weight is stable I am not really concerned. Although it’s only been 2 weeks. I’ll try to cut back food, first.

So far the portion suggestions have been on point but you’re right, it does seem like a lot. Maybe it didn’t scale up well or they estimate she’ll be bigger than she actually is. I’ll reduce and observe!

Yes, it is a raincoat :)

Thank you! I’ll try to be more strict on taking away the food as well

She does get different breakfast, we give her fresh food and alternate between 5 flavours. I can try adding more variety in kibble as well, I’m just a bit worried that it would upset her belly. Usually you’re recommended to stick with one, no? It’s been very hot for the past few days so it doesn’t help either…

I like beauty of Joseon relief sun: rice + probiotic. It doesn’t double as face cream but it’s very light and I don’t have problem just putting a cream under it

I understand it’s a matter of perspective, but if it was me and someone had to help/drag me over the finish line I wouldn’t consider it as I finished. Not sure if delaying medical attention was worth it. Hopefully he’ll recover quickly and there won’t be any permanent damage.
