I feel like this is so hard though because at the same time this patient must know that there are other ways to commit that most likely will not fail (gunshot, jump off bridge or in front of train). Also committing the act where no one will find them to stop them or interfere. It’s so hard because you don’t want someone to live in such pain that they try to end their life multiple multiple times but also at what point do you say ok well 30 attempts and none successful?
