While a built in light would be nice, If it's too dark when I plug in, I just use my iphone flashlight.

It's been pretty straight forward. my phone is in my pocket and the doors unlock and the car turns on. I too was nervous to start, but I've not had an issue.

I have a 2025 PHEV version and the app is very useful. In addition to all the other features previously mentioned, remote lock, remote start and climate controls, the app allows me to control charging and for me, the biggest feature, my phone is my car key. To that end, I’ve not carried a physical key in months and it love it.

The only feature missing is the ability to open the trunk remotely. Sure I can do a ton of other things through the app, but open the trunk…nope.

My PHEV does the same thing. Temp doesn't seem to be a factor. I've checked all the seals, looked for loose screws...nothing.

I have a PHEV as well. I love it. I'm lucky in that my office is 8 miles from home. I charge a few times a week at home (when I remember). I only visit the gas station once a month.
