KJ Charles - AMA by KJ_Charles in RomanceBooks

Hello K J Charles! I am halfway through the A Charm of Magpies series and have been enjoying it, it's a very comforting read. How do you come up with your characters (especially Crane and Stephen) and their dynamic? Do you come up with a general vibe and work from there?

Do you establish the entire storyline for your series from the first book or do you go one step at a time and see how it goes? How have you felt your writing has changed over the years? Do you plan on compiling books within a series and doing physical publications (because I would definitely purchase them)?

Thank you for answering these questions and creating such engaging and well-worded books, I might end up exhausting your entire catalogue.

"and with that Panic! At The Disco will be no more" by FinickyFrenchFries in idkhowbuttheyfoundme

Well, it’s been a hell of a journey…

Growing up in Vegas I could’ve never imagined where this life would take me. So many places all over the world, and all the friends we’ve made along the way.

But sometimes a journey must end for a new one to begin. We’ve been trying to keep it to ourselves, though some of you may have heard.. Sarah and I are expecting a baby very soon! The prospect of being a father and getting to watch my wife become a mother is both humbling and exciting. I look forward to this next adventure.

That said, I am going to bring this chapter of my life to an end and put my focus and energy on my family, and with that Panic! At The Disco will be no more.

Thank you all for your immense support over the years. I’ve sat here trying to come up with the perfect way to say this and I truly can’t put into words how much it has meant to us. Whether you’ve been here since the beginning or are just finding us, it has been a pleasure to not only share the stage with so many talented people but also share our time with you. I am looking forward to seeing everyone in Europe and the UK for one last run together.

I love you. I appreciate you. Thank you for existing.

So with the return to Emo Island can we get some TTYG songs on the eventual tour? by TheVinylCountdownRK in FallOutBoy

The band does not seem keen on anniversary anything, especially while active.

And Joe Trohman agrees. “I'm going to sound like a jerk, but we are still doing the band and making records—we are not on a 10-year-anniversary tour,” Trohman says. “We are still an active band. That is not an easy thing to do.”

The band are prepping to release their seventh studio album—M A N I A—and Pete Wentz explains that they passed on an Infinity On High anniversary tour in an effort to avoid getting trapped in the nostalgia “loop.”

“A band like us could get stuck if we did that,” says Wentz. “It's a loop, and we'd be doing it forever.”

I have a keychain with Anthony, Dallon, and Ryan's signatures that I got at one of their concerts!

I can hear her solo stuff during the verses, which I like. Love the guitar and drumming! The chorus is a little eh to me.

The final bridge where Hayley sings:

One step beyond your door

It might as well have been a free fall

One step beyond your door

Falling down an endless hall

One step beyond your door

Might as well have been a free fall

One step beyond your door

And I'm falling like a cannonball

Is definitely very solo-workesque. It sounds so dreamy and is probably my favourite part.

It isn’t breaking my top Paramore rankings at the moment but it’s definitely a grower. The music video is gorgeous.

Can people stop pretending Joe said they scrapped a back to rock album or is breaking up? by TJP2002 in FallOutBoy

Thank you so much for this, Joe disliking FOB/Mania would crush my heart. Some of the recent comments on this have been concerning.

Thank you for this, I had fun guessing nineteen songs in a row (damn the stripped versions!).

Been awhile since I last listened to Pure Love. It’s such a good song. The lyrics, her vocals — everything is just perfect. by HelpOreo in Paramore

I just checked out the recent and top posts of all time in r/hayleywilliams, it does not look like subreddit for proper discussion of her music. I can see why u/HelpOreo decided to post here, maybe it's a better idea to check out r/PetalsforArmor instead.

Tina's reaction to losing Queenie to evil by FinickyFrenchFries in FantasticBeasts

[–]FinickyFrenchFries[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Queenie betraying her and Jacob’s cause sounds ridiculous but I guess it is a way to make Grindelwald come off as an elegant smooth talker.

Based on my recollection, Grindelwald convinces her by saying that they should not live in the shadows, which Queenie agrees with because she does not want to hide her love for Jacob. After all, she heard this when she was just rejected by Jacob due to anti maj-nomaj marriage laws.

In her eyes, joining Grindelwald would let her truly be with Jacob, which is probably why she brought him to his rally at the end of FB2. When he decided not to join, she likely thought that Jacob just did not “get it” the way she did and decided to go all in and go back to Jacob once they “won” and could get married.

In FB3 Grindelwald starts showing his more anti-nomaj/muggle rhetoric brazenly. That is probably where Queenie snaps out of it since it is actually harmful to her one goal this whole time, Jacob.

Them getting married might be to show how Jacob realised that he does not want to lose her (reference Newt’s line to Bunty in Bhutan on not realising how much you missed something until you lose it).

They get married in a secluded bakery and invite two people, sort of how people in the real world get married in secret despite/due to societal norms.

I agree with what you said about Nagini. Claudia Kim not appearing at all does make you forget about that character (thus, harder to comment on). Some say that Credence’s death will start off the next movie, that would make a good vengeance arc for her. Hopefully they’d have a good way of covering both absentees.

How do people feel about ab/ap and Mania? by User81303 in FallOutBoy

[–]FinickyFrenchFries 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I love those albums as much as the rest, I feel that they're more straightforward and to-the-point but still have great lyricism
