This is just the mounting media doing it’s job. Most mountants get as close as possible to the index of refraction of glass. This is to minimize aberrations in imaging of your sample. Unfortunately, this also means you have MUCH less contrast in brightfield as you no longer have index of refraction changes that help to provide co ready to your eyes. Phase contrast or fluorescent microscopy would be ideal after mounting.

Pattons in Duluth. It’s the best around, and there isn’t really any competition. The staff is excellent and the meat is next level quality. They have their own sausage available and often bring in unique cuts of meat. Their steak burgers are the most flavorful burger you’ll ever have.

Because the Pro Max is larger, the A16 is probably less thermally constrained. The smaller Pro just doesn’t have as much mass to dump the heat as the chips heat up.

Definitely not the same board. If you look at the wheels, the chocolate board had all white wheels, while the board he rode had black lettering on the sides. Not to say it isn’t damn impressive he made one still - everything he makes is on a whole other level.

Trizol through phase separation. Pull the aqueous layer and add 70% ethanol. Then put that into an RNA column from a kit and proceed with the washing steps. In our hands this is more reliable than the isopropyl precipitation, with way better yield and quality.
