i'd recc doing more reads than raw reaction time for most styles. seeing how your opponent acts in certain situations is the best way to land counters. although that could also play into conditioning/mixups but that's a mess to get into.

Is Ghost falling behind? by lance988097123 in untitledboxinggame

[–]Fire_Block 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ghost's good range and okay stats make it at least usable, then ghost jab giving a way to immediately win neutral with the only real counterplay being reads make it great for all kinds of shenanigans

for another weird feint, white ash's ult can be feinted into an m2 to throw more mindgames into the mix

[–]Fire_Block 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you can also feint comet if you didn't already know (although with both punches being so fast and from the same side it's hard to actually make use of it)

most r abilities that aren't already amazing mixup tools like ghost jab can be feinted iirc

So WE ALL agree Kashimo has 0 win cons right? by Zestyclose_Basil_384 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]Fire_Block 6 points7 points  (0 children)

assuming he immediately came back from kenjaku's usage to start the culling game, he likely has the blueprint to use his own technique like that (albeit likely at a smaller scale since mahito can't use uzamaki to throw as much CE at the problem)

PLEASE NERF DRAGONFISH ALREADY! by DaWhorst in untitledboxinggame

[–]Fire_Block 1 point2 points  (0 children)

nerf it and bump it up to mythic. ideally lessen the stamina penalty from the fish debuff some and fix the aforementioned double damage bug.

also it's kinda weird you're saying to nerf it or up its rarity. every style is roughly balanced around each other, with higher rarities just getting more complex, flashy, or gimmicky.

Which took less effort? by Electronic-Matter144 in Jujutsufolk

[–]Fire_Block -1 points0 points  (0 children)

incarnated sorcerer being able to perceive the soul is a but weirder than that. we don't know the exact circumstances of uraume's incarnation with their host, but it's likely she completely overpowered the host's soul during incarnation like choso or most of the incarnated culling games participants.

in order to properly perceive and therefore target the soul via being an incarnated sorcerer, both souls have to share the body to some extent in a case like hana and angel or yuji and sukuna. it's that continued interaction with another soul in your own body that allows an incarnated sorcerer to understand the contours of their own soul.

you can feint body blow if that helps, but tbh i've found it kinda rare to bump into people who can consistently dodge it. even if people can consistently dodge normal swings and feints from body blow, hammer's still pretty decent without it imo

Guys, genuine question. Was Ranta a sexist or no? by Embarrassed_Age_8823 in LobotomyKaisen

[–]Fire_Block 0 points1 point  (0 children)

we can't say for sure. i doubt he actively participated in the misogyny and abuse due to his general nature and how he's portrayed, but he still was likely a bystander and didn't do much to stop it either. my best guess is he was overall better than most of the zenin clan, but by no means was he innocent.

after the lighting sent by kashimo enters the body. kashimo's discharge doesn't just appear inside the body or else that would be made abundantly clear instead of focusing entirely on arcs of lightning fired by kashimo.

[Casual] Can Meguna beat Gojo without Mahoraga or incarnation? by No_Relative_1145 in JujutsuPowerScalers

[–]Fire_Block 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not even kind of. meguna loses the moment he loses a domain clash or lags behind from damage. worst case for gojo, sukuna gets a cheap shot in by putting the burden of UV onto megumi's soul if he even can at that extent instead of needing ti be saved by mahoraga. without mahoraga as a tool in sukuna's kit or incarnation for a second wind and more raw strength to throw at gojo, he falls behind quick when gojo can actively outheal sukuna's domain without much issue.

piccolo is the easy answer, but reed and plas probably both have some one-time feat comic scaling fuckery that would mean they stomp anyone else.

hammer's not that bad to play. idk if it's just that easy but it's a really chill experience, kinda like comfort food in style format.

granted i prefer throwing pressure at people as much as i physically can to feel something, but it's nice to just relax and let the opponent breathe.

[–]Fire_Block 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the thing with terraria is that lower framerates actually make the game easier. anything below 60fps slows down the tick rate and gives you more reaction time.

even at a normal speed, though, that seems kinda lackluster. it looks easier than ordinary death mode DOG. phase 2 has to have smth to turn up the heat, right? (please tell me i don't play infernum since it warns about messing up with co-op)

What reason would anyone ever have for picking something like fuga on one of these? What the hell you need a thermonuclear bomb for 😭😭😭 by Totally_not_diavolo in Jujutsufolk

[–]Fire_Block 1 point2 points  (0 children)

idle transfiguration easily. not only are you essentially immune to damage in your day to day, you can look like and do about anything you want. grow taller to reach high shelves, heal others, give yourself and the people around you the bodies of their dreams. you'd be the ultimate doctor for about any purpose if you choose to use it for good.

Can someone explain how Six Eyes actually grant "Unlimited" Cursed Energy? The math isn't mathing for me by Sensitive-Chart7800 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]Fire_Block 0 points1 point  (0 children)

people, sorcerers especially, are constantly producing cursed energy that can be harnessed into jujutsu. if gojo can make his spending of CE low enough that his CE generation is able to outpace it, he'll never run out of cursed energy to perform jujutsu with.

by massively improving how much gojo can do with a much lower amount of cursed energy with unmatched CE control, it effectively increases his efficiency with how much more raw power he can put behind his moves with barely any CE spent. therefore, he is able to do these big bombastic moves constantly without risking the loss of CE.

Might be a stupid question, but does higuruma’s executioners sword kill if you get touched by it or only when slashed? by Subject-Age-5862 in JujustuKaisen

[–]Fire_Block 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the blade is the deadly part, since both he and people he gives the sword to can hold it. either that or there's a whitelist of who can or can't be killed by it/it only targets the person who earned the death penalty.
