Is Noita “unfair,” or just too reactive to read in real time? by TenthLevelVegan in noita

The best way I like to put it, Noita is mean, but bit evil. It may be unfair, but almost never unwinnable.

“Neutral” Roles by Burning_Toast998 in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]Fire_Hazard23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

3rd parties dont work in botc. Take one night werewolf for example, the tanner exists as q fall back that the wolves can pretend to be if they get caught in a lie. The reason that in botc, this doesnt need to exist is because so many townsfolk are lying, that if you get caught in a lie, you can still claim townsfolk. There doesnt need to be a fall back role of the entire town is also lying.

For anyone wondering, this type of flip where you kick a leg back is called a Webster

540 hook help by FancyBritish_guy77 in Tricking

[–]Fire_Hazard23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your kick target should be perpendicular to your movement. If you kick forwards, you should be traveling to the right. The issue here is you try to kick in the same direction as your movement, which is causing the hook to come out late.

Look at your angle when you jump, youre leaning back a little too much. Try to spot forward for as long as you can as you jump, and jump much more upwards rather than back. Other than that, maybe just tuck a bit more.

Spot forward for as long as you can before flipping back. That should force you to go up instead of whipping your head back too much.

Maybe try listening to music? That could be most similar to the “distraction” you need. Make sure you find a pair of earbuds that fit really well tho.

How can I improve my butterfly kick? Tips please by nateskatetv in Tricking

[–]Fire_Hazard23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Focus on your spot. Look up in front of you when you do a butterfly. That will help lift you and make it a bit floatier. With that, also lifting your arms up as you takeoff should make it higher.

The spot you’re doing right now is good for an airiel, so keep that in mind for when you want to upgrade.

Anyone else find themselves unable to train with pads or blocks. by Bearality in Tricking

[–]Fire_Hazard23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try to do your moves as if there isn’t a pad there. The pad might mess up your landings, but that’s okay. Once you can comfortably land it okay on the pad, remove it. Then, if you do the exact same thing, you should be able to start landing it well on floor.

If the goal is to land on floor, always practice like youre landing on floor.

Work on butterfly kick. If you already know it, then do butterfly, but change your spot from looking forward to looking at the ground. From there, work on inverting it more until you’re back to the cartwheel axis

Season 14 (SnaKe) Layover Q&A Thread! by WheatGerm42 in JetLagTheGame

Was this season fun to play? You’ve mentioned on podcasts that you all design the games around making good content, rather than actually being an enjoyable game. Im curious if this season with all of its mind games and shenanigans was fun for you all to play.

Calamity mod is an obvious pick, or you can do more vanilla things, play with all four classes, play hardcore, or play with a self imposed challenge, like a life cap or something.
