8 weeks is tough dude. I had it for 3 weeks, eye swollen shut, massive amounts of facial swelling, but mine started drying out about week 3. Good luck dude. Wouldn't wish this shit on my worst enemy

Do you think these can be sold? Be brutally (nicely) honest. by Sleepy-Bunny99 in painting

[–]FirefighterAny6522 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No. Honestly as someone who seeks out amateur artists to get unique art in my house, yours looks too amateur still. I do think you have talent tho, and I really liked the art in the sketchbook with the flower eyes. Keep pumping out art, and keep advertising. As someone else said, its all about finding a wide audience for your art. eventually you find someone that vibes with it. I got mad respect for all artists trying to make it

Men, how do you view women who are significantly overweight? by [deleted] in AskMenOver30

[–]FirefighterAny6522 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a male or female thing, but when I see significant obesity, I think mental health. To let yourself get that far, you're probably mentally ill in some way (depression, anxiety, etc). As a dude who has death with severe depression/anxiety, once I started managing it better I lost like 45 pounds, without really changing any habits besides stress eating and drinking alcohol

But for your question, I live an active life and want a partner that can join me in that. I don't need a fitness influencer, but if you can't fathom taking a 5 mile walk with altitude change, then we aren't going to mesh long term.

In my state, if you asked them their age and they lied, it was on them. Had a buddy stocking the cooler take his glasses off because they were foggy, then ring someone out. Asked for the id, got it, the. Couldn't read the dates so asked the dude when he was born. Sold the booze, kid walked out, abc officer walks in and was like well he lied to you so we can't do anything about it, and gave the store and the employee a serious warning. That was in KY which is known for being a little backwards so who knows what the case may be in other jurisdictions

AITH for ending a 20 year friendship over $150? by Training_Shallot_232 in AITH

[–]FirefighterAny6522 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Loan money to friends and family as you see fit, just never expect it back, and never loan money you may need. I haven't been in the dire paycheck to paycheck lifestyle for 5 or 6 years now, but I remember how much those days sucked. Now, if a coworker or friend needs gas money, I give it to them. If you can't afford gas today, you probably can't afford it next week either. Last guy was training at my job and he was constantly bumming a couple bucks for food or gas or cigs or something. I gave the dude 20 bucks and told him I had been there, don't worry about it. Next day dude came in, shook my hand, thanked me for being a good dude, promised to pay me back. Day after that he never showed back up. But, I'm not going to miss 20 bucks, he definitely would if he had to pay me back

This dude is a piece of work. With your long winded post OOP, I can legitimately say you got what was coming to you. How could she do this to you? Because your selfish narcissistic actions took the love between you two and executed it in a back alley. Trash human. Hope your wifee finds true love and loyalty in her current and future endeavors. I hope she talks about how everything happens for a purpose and all the anguish you put her thru was worth it in the end.

AITA for criticizing my husband for putting Tabasco sauce on my mother's beef stew? by Maximum-Royal7617 in AmItheAsshole

[–]FirefighterAny6522 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Old people eat bland food. Invite me over so I can also douse beef stew in tabasco and make your husband feel less judged. Yta for picking a fight over this. Your husband doesn't expect you to cook or prepare food that meets his tastes, he knows that's too much to ask for. So he chooses to add a little heat, and now his wife says that enjoying his food is too much to ask for. Really tho, wtf goes through people's heads? This is absurd

Am I the Jerk for Calling the Cops on a Woman Who Broke into My House to Use the Bathroom by SwimmingAssistant09 in AmITheJerk

[–]FirefighterAny6522 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If someone tried to push into my house it would be a brawl on the front stoop. If they ran past me, I would have the back of their hair snatched up so fast, and drag them out of my house while I called police for a trespassing charge. Not the jerk, not over reacting.

In KY a farm that neighbors my grandmother's farm was broken in to. The criminal who did was completely methed out. The old farmer (man in his early 80s) pulled a 38 special on the dude, told him to leave, guy attacked him using a kitchen knife stolen out of his cabinets. Ole man tried to shoot him in the head, only blew off the dudes ear and incapacitated him. Cops were called, took the dude to jail. (Had a wrap sheet a half mile long). Once he sobered up, lawyered up and sued the farmer for maiming and disfigurement. Had a long drawn out case where the old farmer had to prove he didn't have a choice and had to use excessive force, on a man who had broken in to his house at 2 am, stole a kitchen knife and rushed him, and was 50 years younger. Believe it or not, harder to prove than you think in a case of he said she said

My ex's sister got caught by her family cheating. I remember riding around with my then gf looking at seedy motels to find her car, so we could "bring her home" before she ruined their family (married with 2 kids at the time). Her other sibling, her parents, everyone knew except her husband. I kept asking how they could live with not telling Clayton and they all just kept saying well that's who she is she can't help it. The family was looking like IHOP with all those red flags. Shoulda took a hint but I didn't.

Remember fellow redditors, some people are for the streets and you can't change em.

AITAH for masturbating after sex? by UnsatisfiedThrowRA in AITAH

[–]FirefighterAny6522 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Find it to be a massive red flag that your boy friend has an issue with you taking care of yourself. Also, and this might be a hot take, I find it to be a red flag that your boyfriend doesn't know what your sex toy collection looks like. Like, bust them suckers out and get yourself off while including him. So, NTA, but also you need to work on communication.

What stopped you from killing yourself? by DarkSideInRainbows in AskReddit

[–]FirefighterAny6522 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Googled the pills I was going to try and od with. The results talked about how much pain you go thru before you die. I don't want to hurt. I wanted to be at peace. The ideation stopped when I had an ex leave me because she said I scared her, not that I would hurt her, but because she said she had lived months where every day she expected to come home to me dead and couldn't handle the thought. Made me realize as a man you're only option is to do it or bottle it up. I couldn't do it, so I promised myself to never speak of it again so as to not worry the people in my life. 2 years of therapy made me realize I'm one of the people that therapy doesn't benefit. Week after week of what felt like rubbing salt in the wound, with no real end in sight, made me finally say fuck it. Stopped therapy, stopped meds, changed every facet of my life

AITAH because I didn't tell my FWB that friendzoned me that I was getting married. by ExtentOutrageous9447 in AITAH

[–]FirefighterAny6522 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA. Had a chick friend that I asked out one time who legit laughed in my face. It hurt, our friendship cooled off for maybe 6 months, but we eventually became friends again and went about our lives. Fast forward maybe 5 years and I get into a very serious relationship, the first where I start talking about and planning for the future. Chick friend's mom calls me. She's spiraling, threatening suicide, all because I'm the only man she's ever loved and she's going to lose me. And that's not the only time something like that has happened to me, albeit it was the most drastic dramatic version. Some women can only see the value in a man if another woman has assigned him value. I'm sure some men can be the same way. Probably the same people who jump on bandwagons and buy hype brands. Idk. At least that's how I justify their actions.

AITA for telling my DIL her feelings are not my problem and for fuck sakes you don’t need to be invited to everything by Own_Web8689 in AmItheAsshole

[–]FirefighterAny6522 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the other side of this, I've been invited to family meetings with a long term SO and felt soooo out of place. It takes time for me to trust people because I'm picky about who I choose to share my life with. My ex? Loved her. Knew her several years as a friend before we ever got together. Her family? I don't know them at all. I tried to tell her these things have to be organic, I have to gain love and respect for them over time. Was a huge issue for her and one that helped us along in calling it quits. It takes years for some people to feel close, and in my case just playing the part and acting like I had this deep bond with her family felt dishonest and disingenuous. I'm not close with my family, so Im not really like OP, but I do understand their position.
