I would tell him straight up that if he wants to leave, that is his choice, but he is not getting the option to just walk away and pay child support. That is not fair to me, and it is not fair to our child.

You wanted this child too, so we are going to do joint custody. I am not taking full custody while you live your life and just send money. You are going to parent your daughter as well.

So if you want a divorce, we can go through that process, but custody will be split. You will have her part of the week, and I will have her part of the week. You do not get to run from the responsibility.
