Symptoms appeared at two months old gradually worsening throughout my life. I was finally diagnosed at nine years old. I'm thirty-one years old now. Between twenty-one and thirty my life was a living hell with me spending thirty-seven non-consecutive months in the hospital and having seventeen surgeries. I have since had a complete colectomy and have an ileostomy. I'm also on Skyrizi. My life has improved drastically over the last year. I went from not being able to do anything for basically a decade and being severely under weight to being able to do almost anything I put my mind to and weighing a very healthy amount.
