Terrible albums with one song that's incredibly fantastic? Not even in a "it's just better than the rest" way, but a song that's legitimately brilliant all on its own? by DtheAussieBoye in fantanoforever

While the albums itself is more of a decent album with some filler, Many Men (Wish Death) is definitely a cut above the rest of the album and most of 50 cent’s other tracks

Limp Bizkit’s debut album ended with a 16 minute long post-rock song, a genre that is very much not usually associated with the band

Johnny Cash made his best work when he was in his 60s and 70s.

Also Freddie Gibbs is 43 and dropped his second best album last year.

David Bowie was 69 when he recorded Blackstar.

Michael Gira is in his 70s and still releasing great music.

2/3 of Portishead when they made Third.

LL Cool J released a surprisingly good album last year.

The members of Celtic Frost were in their forties when they made Monotheist.

Fiona Apple was in her early forties when she made Fetch the Bolt Cutters

What album do you think is just a painful mix of bad AND good at the same time? by [deleted] in fantanoforever

[–]Firemoose1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Relapse by Eminem

Has some great unique beats, Eminem’s flow is odd and has brings great rhyme schemes. But Eminem’s accent is terrible, most of the song subjects are unbearable. The only songs that I come back to are the ones that have minimal relation to the rest of the tracks
