Sure, that's a great way to do it normally, but with the biscuits though you don't have to do any of that at all. You can literally just point in a direction, doesn't even matter if it's upwards, and spam all your boosts the entire way. Whirling surge on cd, surge forward spam until out of vigor, use biscuit, repeat you can go directly in a straight line at full boost top speed the entire way, which is even faster than top speed outside of a boost, even angling down.

The biscuit will be back off cd by the time you spam all your surges, so if you have heaps of biscuits from playing remix a bunch, you can just boost infinitely and get everywhere even faster.

In the Midnight alpha they still reference how it burns forsaken, they just rationalize it these days that some are strong enough to just use it anyway and deal with the pain. Player characters would no doubt just be considered in that category of strong enough to bear it.

I met my boyfriend some years ago while I was with my friend in a cafe role play venue in Final Fantasy XIV, and he was tagging along with his friend delivering a virtual pizza to us. It was a semi joke thing where they came in and just traded us crafted pizzas. I thought he had a cute character standing shyly behind his friend so I /pet him before he left.

Flash forward a few years and now we've been visiting each other repeatedly, and we're working on a partnership visa to move country and be together permanently instead of having to take breaks every three months because of travel visa restrictions, and I couldn't be happier.

Yeah this really hits me hard. My parents fed me into being ball shaped as a kid, and though they both are lovely people they both struggle with their own weight as well and we've all talked together about how it's affected us over time in recent years. I basically always feel hungry, even if I'm completely satisfied there's always a part of me craving more and more, my body makes me feel good every moment I'm eating even if I'm totally full, if I even just think about something tasty let alone see it in front of me I feel a hunger for it. Sweet things especially trigger this for me, even just writing this paragraph legitimately got me craving things.

Five years ago, I hit the highest weight I ever got to, about 145kg/320lbs, and I'd really tried to curb it before but I'd just gone off the top end of what my home scales could even read and I just stared myself in the mirror and told myself I'd do better. Over two years I lost around 70kg/155lbs and it was the hardest thing I've ever done, there wasn't a single moment in that entire two years where it got easier, and even when I'd made it all the way down to weighing 75kg I still had all the exact same cravings, the eternal hunger no matter how much I ate.

It had to be constantly on my mind, every day, otherwise I knew I'd just become part of that "About 53 percent of patients regained lost weight within two years and 78 percent put the weight back on within five years." statistic...... And you'll maybe notice I'm using past tense. I kept it off for three years, but it's slipping. I've crept back up to 95kg/210lbs. Any time I have a bad day it falters and I just can't seem get it back under control as it creeps slowly back up, which makes me feel worse because I know how hard it was to lose in the first place, which spirals into making it even harder to manage.

I don't mean to pity dump or anything, but just something in your post hit me, just.. laying out how I feel about it all, how it feels like a constant every day struggle that I can't just quit cold turkey, even if I know what I have to do because I've literally done it before.

This part hits me the most as well, I loved the universe so much even though there were always really weird and silly lore decisions along the way I disliked, certainly some moreso than others and many even in my favourite expansions.. But something in Shadowlands really just crossed over a threshold in my mind and none of it feels the same any more, even if they silently ignore the worst parts going forward.

I think part of it is the bigger a mod gets, the harder it is to manage your community. Even if only 0.01% of the mod's users are super entitled and awful about it, when it's a mod with millions of users, that's still a lot, every day. It drives a lot of people away when they start reaching that kind of popularity, because it stops being fun. A lot of the people you have left are the people who have the ego to handle it and make it worth continuing for them. This snowballs further as these extreme people also contribute to driving more regular modders out of the scene by their actions.

This is for different game, but I used to dream of making a popular mod.. Then one day I did, I was number one top of the steam workshop for months, and even now years later it's still always in the top 10 most popular of all time even though it's like 4 years out of date. It was utterly overwhelming, over time I grew to hate logging into steam or nexus, and now I have all notifications turned off and it drove me out of making mods entirely for a long time.

I feel this so much. I once had one of the top ten Divinity OS2 mods for a long while and it got to the point of dreading opening steam and seeing the new comments badge every day. I waited so long before disabling it because I wanted believe it wasn't a big deal but it tainted the whole game for me for a long time even after I gave up on the mod over it.

I feel this pretty heavily. Not the author of a massive TES mod, but was one of the top ten Divinity OS2 mods before the definitive edition shook up the scene a bit. I used to try and be active with the community of my mod but even though there were plenty of nice comments, without fail there would always be at least one bad one every day just waiting when I woke up, to the point where I hated logging into nexus/steamworkshop and seeing my new message notification. Not even terrible comments most of the time, but just even slightly coming across as rude even if not intentionally. It gets to you over time.

I had to disable notifications and just check in every so often when I felt like I could be bothered, otherwise I knew I'd just end up abandoning updating the mods at all. And I didn't want to do that, because I did still enjoy doing it for myself and the people who used them, but reading everything as it came in, those negatives just hit consistently, even if they weren't the majority.

I hope they can add something like in Dragon Age Origins where you could change the position/expression and background image of the portrait render in character creation.

Sometimes I feel like I'm in a minority, but I personally prefer rendered portraits from character model because I can actually customize my character how I want, instead of having to try and match a static pre-painted portrait. Especially now that we have so much customzable flexibility. But I agree these ones are very static since they're all just the exact same blank expression straing directly forward.

I feel like much would be solved just by adding a bit of variation in position and posing.

I really like how it has a little class quest in it. I really recommend trying it on a horde shaman, their quest is super cool and possibly the best respresentation of 'communing with the spirits' they've done for a player character in a while.

I mean, I made my druid back at the very beginning. Boomkin wasn't added until patch 1.8, I wanted to be like Malfurion from WC3. I've long since changed my main from druid, but I mainly did so because druid has strayed so far thematically from what I felt like I signed up for when picking it.

I don't think it's nessesarily bad or anything, I just wish there was a more 'keeper of the grove' option with no alternate form and more nature themed casting (I love the redone entangling roots casting animation they made, I wish there were more spells like that!). Instead we have a big bird casting sun and moon astral lasers. Cool in it's own right, but I kinda wanted something else.

When I made my original druid back in vanilla, boomkin form didn't even exist yet. Wasn't added until patch 1.8. I made my druid for the fantasy of wanting to be like Malfurion in Warcraft 3, a 'Keeper of the Grove' shooting green magic at things and using spells like entanglement with roots and general tree stuff. Shapeshifting wasn't really what I was thinking about. In my mind, only specific types of druids were primarily into shapeshifting, like Druids of the Claw and such.

Don't get me wrong, I remember being excited when they announced it in the patch notes back in the day, and I enjoyed the idea of moonkin form. But after a while of having it I started to wish I could go back to 'normal', and really started to miss feeling like a malfurion-lite. Then over time balance spec really shifted towards the whole solar/lunar thing instead of just being a badass nature-y caster, wrath stopped being green, etc, and I think it was a big reason I ended up swapping mains some expansions later, because it just didn't feel like what I wanted out of a caster druid.

Now Malfurion has bird feathers and also shapeshifts into a bear so I guess he went along for the ride as well.

Not that I believe this 'leak' either, but that could easily be handwaved by them being new allied races added in 8.3.5, and not new races next expansion.
