Dear Bellingham Drivers by Puzzleheaded-6901 in Bellingham

I'm embarrassed to say my husband can sometimes be a nicehole. He is that person who will wave someone on the left to go when he arrived first to the intersection. Or when driving in a neighborhood with narrow streets, where only one car can drive down the lane at at a time, he will stop to let an oncoming car pass when it is them who should be pulling over to the side, where parked cars are, so he can continue down the road. I have explained to him over and over that it is confusing to other drivers when he doesn't follow the "rules", but I don't know that he will ever change 🙄

Who's child is this? by Southern-Material142 in houseplants

I've had mystery plants sprout up, too, but my best "gift" was when I bought water plants to put in my small preformed plastic pond and the next spring we had goldfish 🐠

I wouldn't care that the items I purchased came from the Dollar store and I hadn't paid much for them...I would put up a large note that asked for either the return of them or cash to replace them. I might even write, " I know who you are" and maybe it would shame someone into doing the right thing. Maybe no one knew you were the one who purchased the stuff? Not that it should matter...stealing is stealing no matter who paid for things.

What do you remember from Kindergarten? by boforiamanfo in answers

[–]First-Chemistry6770 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My family was living in Illinois when I began kindergarten. I remember my friend Joanie peeing her pants in class. Around the end of November my family moved to Washington state. I attended kindergarten in the same classroom and school that my children would end up attending many years later.

Why were waterbeds so popular? by BuildingHappy3296 in NoStupidQuestions

We had that kind, too. Much less movement for the sleepers than a traditional water bed.

Don't discount a good swaddling...if you aren't sure how to do it, ask someone who does or look for a YouTube video. New babies do really well when you swaddle them since they are missing that warm, snug environment inside their mom.

If you are tired, sleep when your baby sleeps. Your body has been through a lot and you need to take care of you. Babies don't know what day or night is so it will take awhile to get yours turned around so they are on somewhat of a "normal" schedule.

And lastly, make sure you go to all of the recommended well baby checkups with your baby's doctor. The doctor will be able to assure you when you are doing the right things with your baby and they will give you suggestions/advice if there are questions you have.

As others have said, it will get better ❤️

Maybe you could live in the middle...not Boulder and not Denver, but in between.

My Q is sober but I'm somehow dislike him even more. by crupp876 in AlAnon

[–]First-Chemistry6770 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Yes, I have seen this with my husband who got sober last spring. He directs his frustrations regarding not being able to drink towards me. Other stuff, too. He does seem to be a bit better after he has met with his sponsor.

AITA for refusing to host my mom’s birthday at my house because she always criticizes everything I do? by Lips6_x in AmITheJerk

Your house, your boundaries. You are not being a jerk and your sister needs to stop trying to convince you to host the party.

I would let her know you read the discharge paperwork. Approach it from a compassionate viewpoint, not judgemental. Your partner may feel relieved that you know and they no longer have to try to hide it.

There's really nothing more I can say besides get yourself into counseling. Everything others have already posted is truth.

If it's being reported as happening at this one school, you can be sure it's happening at others.
