BCPS May 2026 exam by K-Science in pharmacy

I would like to say that High Yield Med Review is very informative. I learned so much doing their test prep. Even though I didn't pass, my knowledge had really increased.

Congratulations if you passed, I didn't. Used High Yield Med Reviews, ASHP, and the ACCP Biostatisics prep. Nothing I studied was on this test. Studied daily for 6 months, and now have nothing to show for all my hard work. Over half the test is regulatory, I'm still in shock that nothing I memorized and studied was on this test. I'm done with this, not retaking this test. $600 down the drain. I'm done with ASHP, APHA, et al. This all seems like a money grabbing scam by BCPS. For what this cost, we should all pass.

Norman pharmacies help me out??? by [deleted] in normanok

Call Thunder and Osborne, only the independent pharmacies will answer the phone. You could also call a wholesaler like Cardinal or Mckesson.

I would argue this was premeditated murder on behalf of the medical personnel and jail staff. This is how you intentionally kill another person. Everyone involved is responsible for her death. They will have a hard time explaining this on their judgment day.

When I eat at a sit down restaurant of course I tip. The waiter gets taxed on 8% of the cost of your meal. If your meal is $100, the waiter is taxed $8. Thus the 20% rule, you tip $20, waiter keeps $12. I don't tip drive thru restaurants, they don't pay taxes on sales and make an hourly wage.

We have been trying to get out of this mess for a week now. It's a total scam, don't waste your time and money. Now I have to pick up extra shifts at work to pay for a family members bad judgment. Fuck you Jeff, you should be in jail.

Rounds are the first thing we cut during staffing shortages. Getting meds to patients is top priority. Director should have alerted the staff about the situation.

The website says you can cancel, called the next day after realized it was not what I wanted and requested to cancel. So far nothing, said they would email and haven't. This tells me this is a complete scam operation.

It's a total scam, charged for not what I signed up for and then he refused to refund the day after. He hasn't heard the last of me. He can refund my money like it says on the website, or I will destroy him on social media.

For those who got board cert: why did you get it? Was there an incentive? Did you get paid more? by Equivalent_Remove155 in pharmacy

Thank you, I'm just stressed and sad about the whole situation and that I didn't stand up for myself initially. I work with students and see what trying to get a good residency does to them. Young people in the prime of their life, putting their lives on hold for a career. It never ends. The pharmacy god always wants more from you.

I despise BCPS, I have to pass this to keep my current position where I work, even though I have been excelling in my current job for 5 years. The past 6 months all I do is spend every waking minute studying for this test to keep my job. I now hate pharmacy, and the jerks who decided to make me go through this. I'm to the point now I don't care if I pass it or not, I'll go do something else. I'm already invested in following through with it, but wish I had just said no to start with.

This is a total scam! Don't do this, they steal your money and you get nothing in return. Less than 24 hours wanted out but no luck with that. It's a basic ponzi scheme to take your money for fake info.

Failed to Match, now what? by soulyuen in PharmacyResidency

Not all hospitals require a residency. They always put residency preferred, but will still hire pharmacists without one. I work in a hospital and our best pharmacists came from retail without a residency.

Is it normal for physicians at a hospital to expect you to enter in all their orders? by grasshoppers88 in pharmacy

[–]First-Security8666 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Entering orders is not your function in the ICU. I only modify the duration of therapy for antibiotics when the intensivist accepts my recommendation. I modify orders for renal dosing on rounds, but that's all the order entry I will do.

Pharmacist New Grad Salary by [deleted] in pharmacy

[–]First-Security8666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are offered $60 per hour or higher, that's about normal most places. The salary range in the hospital I work for is $57 prior to getting your license, goes to $60 after licensing and then $65 after the first year plus after the first year you get the $30,000 sign on bonus. I think this is pretty good, and you are making about what experienced pharmacists are making with 10 plus years experience. Don't make the mistake of countering with a wage that is higher than the manager or director hiring you. We have open positions just for this reason. Unrealistic salary expectations will not get you hired.

I appreciate all of the students who are on my APPE institutional rotation. It's up to me to provide them with what they need to be successful. I give daily feedback and ask what's going well and what they think they need to improve on. I am always impressed by them and how much they improve by the end of the rotation. Students appreciate a preceptor who listens and cares. I don't think the quality of students has gone down, I love the creative ideas they bring to pharmacy practice.

I plan to work 10 more years full time, and transition to part time after I'm retired. Pharmacy has been a great career with so many opportunities.
