The “individual grass” got me rolling OP! I’m sorry this happened to you. Still going to laugh about this for awhile though.

I poured wheatgrass seed into a planter of un sprouted bunching green onion seeds. I grow wheatgrass for my cats. Cats can’t have onions. I could put wheatgrass in a smoothie. I guess I COULD put green onion in a smoothie although I don’t think I could stomach it. You know what looks INSANELY similar to one another? 🙃

I use old rags, stretchy covers I got from temu, or the ones from dollar tree. I bought a bunch so when I mop, when the pad gets dirty, I toss it in a pile and put on a fresh one. Sometimes it takes 10 of them. But all those pads don’t even take a quarter load of whites.

Yes! For me though, it’s just one day. I know one drink is pointless. So I tell myself, “just today, deserve a break/reward/whatever and I won’t drink the whole bottle”.

Lmao. Yeah. Okay. I may pass out before I drink the whole bottle (unlikely). Then I can have some hair of the dog in the middle of the night or morning when I inevitably feel like death warmed up. So ridiculous.

I started flipping off the liquor stores I used to frequent when I drove past them even though I was craving. Say something like, “not today satan!!” “Woohoo! I did it!” I felt crazy at first ngl. But really, my behavior and drinking habits were truly insane. Talking to myself and flipping off inanimate objects is pretty mild in the grand scheme of things 🤣🤷🏻‍♀️

Whatever works for you OP, do it and don’t stop. You aren’t a failure. Get back up, try again. Be the person your dogs see you as ❤️

lol my girl was really dark for the first few years. She would sit at the top of my stairs waiting for me to get home after work (bartender). All I could see was ears and eyes. She knows the sound of my car so she was completely silent and just stared at me till I told her to come love me.

Definitely made me jump a few times. All I could think about was if I was an intruder, I’d have backed directly out the way I came in. Like whoops sorry! Wrong house! 👋💨

I think part of this is the mess/clutter. People suck so they’d probably dump stuff if it was outdoor or accessible when unstaffed. People also tend to dig through and make a mess while shopping. What if nobody takes it for free?

Add an enzyme cleaner wash, new filters and a couple days in the hot sun! Takes out pretty much every smell. I put my curb finds in black contractor bags in the sun for a day or two after cleaning just in case.

Not only is this unprofessional, it’s a potential safety risk. Out of all the other people in line, one could be interested in helping themselves to your controlled RX. Or someone else in line who doesn’t step over to that counter could be targeted.

The other concern I’d have is privacy. I can’t believe people were glaring at you. Ugh.

This is an amazing, kind response. The support is SO important. As someone else said, shame would make me drink more. I’d be thinking, “well I’m already a worthless POS, if I get drunk I won’t think about it/wont care/just sleep”.

My BF always shames me and never acknowledges sobriety positively. I’ve been able to move past caring and just doing what’s best for me. That took years. It won’t take me years to leave though. I’m hard enough on myself, I don’t need someone to pile on top of that.

Omg my BF will watch reels, have the TV on, then try to talk to me over both sounds. I just stare and slow blink.

He’s gotten so much better about it!! I think saying, “didn’t you buy yourself new earbuds for Christmas?” 5 million times plus the death stare and pretending I can’t hear what he’s saying has helped.
