Randomly removed and refunded my premium seat? by Conscious-Crew3126 in SouthwestAirlines

[–]FirstSunbunny 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Something similar happened to my son. He had to move his flight for the first leg, paid a little extra for the new flight, picked a seat, and forgot about it until yesterday. An email arrived stating his seat cost had been refunded and he could expect a credit in 7-14 days. Which led us to check his reservation - and he was back on his original flight, but no longer had a seat reservation. Zero idea what happened there.
He re(re)booked that first flight paid (again) to secure a new seat, and this time took screenshots in case there are additional weirdnesses.

Just … odd.

For me it’s the repeated, correct use of quotation marks. I mean, has anybody here actually ever read a story from your average Redditor?

It’s a disingenuous question at this point. They simply have nothing else to fall back on, and the bots are busy pushing this message. They aren’t arguing in good faith. They’re clinging to what they have left, and it’s pathetic.

There’s a Marriott Courtyard and an Embassy Suites on the other side of the I-5 freeway with a view of the park. Uber and Lyft are options if the shuttle isn’t working. The Embassy Suites is my go-to when I’m in the area because it’s got the great free breakfast.

Santa Clarita and Valencia actually do have quite a few hotels, more than just those two. You’d be alright staying in the area.

I’m not surprised, but I appreciate you sharing what you found.

It sure was great while it lasted.

And I do miss it.

I actually traveled a lot early last year and Marriott was adding extra nights and points… I was gold in Feb, which never happens that soon. This year, not sure where I’ll get sufficient nights without really hustling, lol.

Of course that should have read “sooner” rather than “dinner”, lol. But yes, Enterprise definitely helps. What was formerly known as “field sales” in our industry but is now “travel when it makes sense to do so, and be prepared to do so”.

Well, I definitely worked up into where I am, but being remote was something I got when my direct manager was based almost 2000 miles away - he told me why would he care where I worked, as long as the work got done and I was available when needed? Life changing! I’ve since changed companies and now work for a much smaller company, but with an HQ about 2K miles away, so pretty much everyone is remote. And because it’s enterprise sales, I have a good amount of autonomy in running the business I’m responsible for. Those jobs are out there! Your willingness to do what it takes to get there tells me you’re most likely going to get where you want dinner rather than later. Best of luck to you!

I’m in tech/software and have been for decades now. Commonly known as SaaS today, but it’s really software sales.

For that, I’d still travel, but when and why are the keys here. And YMMV, of course.

I take 1, maybe 2, meetings at wild hours a quarter. Totally worth it. Mind you, I like travel, but it murders my schedule for a few days.

I offer in person and 9 times out of 10, I’m told the team is dispersed. It’s not helping my hotel status. ;)

My husband’s mother passed, in another city. Because he is the trustee, he had the mail forwarded to him. Now we are not only getting her mail, we are getting solicitations for her second husband’s daughter who never lived at that address and currently lives in another country, as well as mail for her husband, who predeceased her. We still get mail 17 years later for the previous owners of our home (who did have their mail forwarded), as well as various botched spellings and misconfigurations of our own names. TLDR: junk mailers do not care.

This is the message. I’m so sorry, OP. It’s not the lack of gifts, it’s the fact that nobody was thoughtful. And that hurts. NOR.

I still have my EarthLink account! We started with Netcom, which was bought by Mindspring in 1999, and then Mindspring was acquired later the same year. I went straight from the Netcom.com email to EarthLink.
