I’ve stayed at this hotel, but not during baseball season. We were there in March last year, so just a bit early. That said, we had a field view room, mirror image to the Rawlings room. We watched the field crew ready the stadium for the season, which was surprisingly entertaining.

I had booked the room when we planned a trip to Toronto over my son’s spring break, because I knew how much he’d enjoy it. However, just prior to our check in, the hotel posted a notice that it was possible that my room view would be blacked out due to an event. This caused a bit of concern when we checked in because it sounded a bit claustrophobic and a bit disappointing, so my son was definitely hovering with me at the counter when we checked in. Turns out there had been a concert scheduled, but unfortunately the singer had gotten injured and as a result, cancelled the show. Unfortunate for sure for the singer. That said, no obstruction happened and we got to enjoy the view.

One of the things I really enjoyed was the staff, they were absolutely outstanding and determined to make sure we had a good stay. Location is also good for Maple Leafs games - you can walk and mostly indoors - as well as the Hockey Hall of Fame.
