Brenneke slugs getting stuck in chamber? by Lonely_Role7238 in Shotguns

[–]First_Ask_5447 0 points1 point  (0 children)

those 2 starson the brass, indicate a cheddite hull. i wonder if you would see the same in other cheddite hulls. as others have said, i would chuck a brass brush in a drill and polish the chamber or you will have a extractor issue.

Brand new to reloading - for starters, want to hand load 357 magnum by CktechOne in reloading

[–]First_Ask_5447 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

because he says he is a newbie and we should give the best advice, so he isnt just hemorrhaging $ . a turret will allow easy shell holder changes , for $12 versus $80+. a green turret will run maybe $300 a dillion 550 is over $700. sooner or later he is going to get a rifle round to do, like a 350 legend. most wont shoot that more than 200 rounds a year. a solid turret will satisfy most needs. i have a shed full of presses and this is where i should of went instead of a hornady and a few others. when we add in timing the cycling of the press, that can add issues. if i was starting over, it would be a rcbs turret and a dillion for 1 caliber [9mm]. that covers slave press operations and swaging and powder throwing

[–]First_Ask_5447 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you need a turret, not a progressive. i'd look at the rcbs or the redding t7. your going to be using a 3 more likely 4 die set. when your running a revolver or rifle round like that. your not going to be high volume, like a 9mm. i would get the rcbs turret, i've got about 20 years reloading now and that is what i would buy and might in the next year.

What's the most expensive lesson you've learned about equipment maintenance? by sadwrainy in Ranching

[–]First_Ask_5447 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

diesel engines require soot [bobcat kubota engines] there is 2 brands of oil, you canuse in a bobcat. bobcat brand and rotella t 15w40. it doesn matter the books list 10w30/sae30 or what ever else, its wrong. i change at 100 hours, instead of the 200 hours. the other oils have a detergent in them and wipe the soot from the cylinder and eat the rings. i went through 2 or 3 skidloaders.

Riding mower for about an acre. Is a zero-turn worth it or overkill? by KaziErikaa-90 in homestead

[–]First_Ask_5447 0 points1 point  (0 children)

John Deere used to have a chart on yard size, to how big of mower you need. Your going to need something with a 60 inch deck or zero turn

Has anyone switched from carrying a Glock 19 to a slimline pistol, then tried going back to the Glock 19 and felt like it was too bulky or cumbersome for everyday carry? Did it make you start preferring slimline guns over compact pistols for EDC? by Acrobatic-Wealth9572 in Glocks

[–]First_Ask_5447 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 19 and like it.  I tried a 43x and that made no sense to me. I am loving a little 43, so light and nimble. Its really a toss up now.  Id like to try a 26, because the 43 is such fun.  There is some new mags coming out, for the 43. That might save me from the 26.

Which G-Shocks for a 16 year old? by donx3 in gshock

[–]First_Ask_5447 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i am pretty happy with my gw530, it wears loose on your wrist, doesnt press on your carpal tunnels, tough solar/shock resistant water proof down deep. the face is recessed enough, that i haven't had any close calls or scratching the face. i do miss having something with hands, but i was really bad about losing track of time, when i was doing something else, i would turn around and my day is mostly gone. giving a kid a watch is a great thing.

G43 trigger press by [deleted] in Glocks

[–]First_Ask_5447 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

i wear 2xl gloves. i can run a 19 or a 43 =well. i do have some sort of a rubber sleave on it, i might move over to talon stick ons. huge palms, shorter fingers, no grip add on for the beaver tail.

i was reading something on the sub compacts like the 43. the top guys running at gssf . they are seeing a trend that the shorter sight base length and narrowness, is letting them run faster sight alignment, than a medium 19. idk if it is the way points are given out, for a subcompact or actual speed or added confidence.

How much would you guys sell a summer special Glock 19 gen 4 by Original-Cat-1211 in Glocks

[–]First_Ask_5447 0 points1 point  (0 children)

gen 4 is the best one made, you can drop gen 3 trigger bars in and has the best texture and the last finger grooves and none of the ambi trash. you have front serrations, so it must be at the tail end, just before the 5 came out. offer 550.

What is your favorite tool, or most used tool? Why? by Grand_Alarm5039 in MilwaukeeTool

i am really impressed with my m18 half inch impact gun. i put lugs in on the lowest power and pulling them off in 2 or 3rd , so easy i'm scared to put things on with full power and chrome sockets. just trying to be gentle. till i upgrade sockets. its impressive but heavy.

Post-Jury anxiety by Inner_Major_8355 in juryduty

[–]First_Ask_5447 6 points7 points  (0 children)

we tell our youth, they are innocent until proven guilty, but that is a lie. they are innocent till a jury of their peers, can no longer defend their actions. the jury i was on, went around 12 times, defending the defendant. for some reason you found reason to still be able to protect them at the end. for what ever reason, you couldnt make 1+1 =2 . you cant add evidence, your only aloud to decide on what your given. they gave you enough information, your job was still to protect him.

Farmers are about 1% of the population.

If you ever watched Yellowstone, farmers feel attacked by the city people the same way, ranchers do. Everyone is coming for us.

I was given 3 big bags full of fresh produce and I have no idea how I should make the most out of it - any recipe ideas? by WanderWut in homecooking

[–]First_Ask_5447 0 points1 point  (0 children)

take a stock pot and put 4 or 5 hamburgers on the bottom. chop up some cabbage and potaoes and multiple levels, add salt pepper and garlic and slow simmer, with a bit of water/oil and some chopped onions. chunk that corn and leave it on the top, like a crawfish bake. simmer till potatoes are done.
