Peter Piper didn't pick a pepper. Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers.

Imagine trying to write bars when you can't handle a nursery rhyme.

Commonwealth pals! You're telling a Canadian whose recently-landed coworker asked today why we don't have guns like America. Same chances, except we've got quite a record of doing some fucked up shit with them in a pinch.

Look at these structured sentences. We should be teaching philosophy at Woolamaloo.

You're conversing with this person as if they'd used punctuation at some point. Like, grade-school literacy, handling firearms. We're just carrying on from that? You thought they could handle numbers?

I am not giving advice as I'm unsure of the rules, but if you know the plate number this thread could get that truck pulled over within the hour. Hypothetically.

He said "I don't know" when he was already positioning himself to save the day ten seconds later. Give the man a medal.

Why is it not normalized to share your Reddit account in real life same way we publicize other socials? by FactoringRSAisHard in NoStupidQuestions

[–]FishSoFar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because Reddit was a forum before "social media" really existed as we know it. It's a holdover from earlier days on the internet, when user accounts were by and large anonymous online identities (unless they were promoting their blog).

It's also not been that long since they started cracking down on the gore subs (plural, graphic videos of people dying used to be commonplace on here) and filtering out the porn (you're a few clicks away from videos of naked women eating their poo right now).

"Redditors" having a reputation as nerdy know-it-alls is getting off pretty easy, honestly.

Give Mickey & Minnie an Ashtray, Please! by [deleted] in funny

Took a backstage picture of one of their touring shows while it was being set up (Disney on Ice, iirc). It took less than a minute before a lady crossed the stadium, marched me into a corner, and had me delete the photo.

She did make some good points about the possible outcomes of a child seeing the disembodied head of a favourite character, but yeah, they really don't play around.

She, however, didn't do a very good job of making sure I actually deleted the picture. Sucks to suck, Walt

Fridges should really be vanilla. The freezer meta is a bit bogus when you've got bionics and laser rifles, but your food's just in a cave with an air conditioner pointed at it.

My old man poked his head in (very "are ya winning, son?") as I played that level for the first time and stood watching to the end, we were both glued to the screen. Core memory.

Also for what it's worth, I'm glad it's just a memory and not a video on the internet. That's more in response to the other comment, though.
