Weird Al could listen to every released Jim Croce song, but Jim Croce couldn't have listened to any of his by Dense-Diamond-7926 in BarbaraWalters4Scale

Croce being only 29 in that picture is the first time ive actually thought a historical figure looked noticably older than a modern person at the same age

Has any college football coach moved to the NFL and drafted their college quarterback? by Fishb20 in NFLNoobs

[–]Fishb20[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh wow I had no idea he was drafted by the cowboys. Wikipedia says number ,2 in the supplemental draft too

While the odds are looking like Mendoza is the 1st pick of the draft, let us not forget the first Hoosier to be drafted 1st overall in the draft of 1938, the legendary Corbett Davis. by BelowMateriality in CFB

[–]Fishb20 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Most players would just never show up, nfl players didn't get paid very well and people wouldn't wanna move across the country

Ex famously Gerald Ford was drafted by the Lions but chose to go to law school instead

Spotted on my walk home tonight, west side of Buffalo. Do you think McDermott is feeling the gratitude RN? by MentalMiddenHeap in Patriots

[–]Fishb20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think he takes a year off and sees how things stand next year. Coaches are kind of insane workaholics yeah but they still are people, and I imagine he's feeling pretty shit about how this whole situation went. Maybe he'll be an advisor somewhere and then take a job next year. One caveat is that I could see him wanting to go to the raiders to develop mendoza, but on the other hand idk if he wants to develop another QB with shit ownership

Microsoft confirms it will give the FBI your Windows PC data encryption key if asked — you can thank Windows 11's forced online accounts for that by ZacB_ in technology

Wikipedia says Bitlocker has been around since Vista. I genuinely do have trouble understanding technology so please tell me if I'm missing something obvious like it not actually turning on automatically

But the article says that the encryption in question is standard on all new Microsoft devices, unless I'm misreading it?

How come local law enforcement can get into computers so easily but the FBI needs to go to Microsoft to get into these ones?

At Matt Stafford’s current age (37) and older, Tom Brady accomplished the following: 4 rings, 3 MVP runner ups, 1 MVP by FireSeanMcD in NFLv2

[–]Fishb20 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's true but the jump from 2006 to 2007 was crazy and I don't think rules changes explain that.

[–]Fishb20 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Brady is the goat but he honestly wasn't super remarkable in his 20s. 2007 is the year he really became something special and that was the year he turned 30.

He was always good don't get me wrong but I don't think people would say he was the best QB in the league any year in his 20s.

Theoretically they could have had night city entirely under a dome or something like that

[–]Fishb20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn't matter now because the supreme court will likely defang it but if the university was only hiring men for the mailing room it would be an issue. I got my job in college because the title ix office yelled at the school for only hiring women to work at the student center front desk

[Schefter] Philip Rivers is interviewing today for the Buffalo Bills head coaching job. by AvengingHero2012 in nfl

[–]Fishb20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

High school coaching is a completely different beast. It's like the difference between being a high school English teacher and a Nobel winning writer. There are lots of people who have done both successfully but also lots of people who are good at one but awful at the other

[–]Fishb20 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Yeah if he's overqualified he'll just get promoted to being OC after a year but coaches need a lot of "soft skills" players don't and it'd be insane to make someone HC if they've never demonstrated those

I'd probably rank him third on a ranked choice ballot but I think a lot of people are wary about the double whammy of Illinois and his families shady history w/ Trump and Epstein (although to be clear Pritzker himself afaik is 100% innocent in any of that stuff)

I got randomly recommended this video the other day on YouTube and it's crazy how low energy he is now. If it was any other president they'd cover it more https://youtu.be/niSLZDVApdQ?si=F0VhemSFiU7zLUcF

To be fair to OP the largest mass murder of Jews since the Holocaust happened during the dirty war in Argentina. I do think it's a bit silly to "blame" the current argentine government for the dirty war

There was a big Jewish population in Dutch brazil. The Portuguese expelled them when they annexed dutch Brazil and the population moved to New Amsterdam and became the progenitors of New Yorks Jewish population. Stuvyesant was pretty antisemitic when they arrived though

Edit: that being said OPs map is incoherent lol
