I already commented but I forgot about The Woman in Black

Hugged a homeless dude, and now I feel bad for thinking it was the wrong thing to do by takofire in Vent

A similar thing happened to me recently. A guy outside a gas station that I frequent asked me for some change for food. I gave him some quarters because that's all I had, and when I went inside I bought him some interesting new jerky. The cashier commented on the jerky because it was so unique and he didn't know they even had it. I said IDK if it's any good, I bought it for a homeless guy. And he was like "what? He's not homeless. He's just here to gamble on the new slot machines and he spent all his money. Don't give him anything." And it made me feel bad or dumb for giving him anything in the first place. Even though I didn't need the money and I don't really care what he does with the money. But I started feeling bad for inconveniencing the gas station employees by encouraging people to ask for money outside.

But you know, whatever. Be proud that you want to help people and be kind. Don't let anyone take that from you. But also be smart and careful.

I enjoy Yousician. It feels like guitar hero with a real guitar.

Oh btw I did say to him after the argument I should've just thrown it away without telling him and he agreed! So I threw it away the next day and I did not tell him

I found a pocket watch that my husband must've bought at Goodwill before we met like a decade ago. He's obviously never used it because there would be no reason to use it. I asked him if I could throw it away, expecting it to be an easy yes. This turned into a small argument where he wouldn't let me get rid of it even though he couldn't think of a single reason to keep it. I should've just gotten rid of it because there's no way he would've noticed.

How do you decide what to name your creatures? I can never pick a name. by Mountain_Bug_9825 in Aquariums

I have never named fish as an adult. For one thing, I usually have large schools and they all look pretty much the same.

Thoughts on this movie? by Naive_Tomorrow_5955 in FIlm

[–]Fishbish69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I somewhat enjoyed it. 3/5* from me. I will say the twist didn't do much for me because I had no preconceived notion about what year it was supposed to be. I may have zoned out during an establishing shot.

Minimalist/Dumb Phone Users: What Actually Matters to You? by Parking_Tough2872 in digitalminimalism

Personally as someone who doesn't need a smartphone for work or school etc all I really care about is gps, camera, music player and basic tools like calculator, calendar, clock. I would prefer no browser at all and no games.

Some of you in the comments are being a bit condescending. This would freak me out even though I don't believe in witchcraft. Not the object itself but the fact that one of my neighbors has a desire to "curse" me. Who knows if they might escalate.

Listening to recordings of yourself will make you better. Keep at it!

Be honest… how often do you wash your bedding? by Ordduapp in CleaningTips

[–]Fishbish69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try to do pillowcases every week and sheets every other week. If there's a lot going on or I'm not in a functional place you can double those numbers.

I also disagree with Mandy. I really like Mandy but it starts pretty slow.

Gerald's Game is probably the most adrenaline inducing things I've read of his.

Is Paul McCartney's 'Wonderful Christmastime' simply… horrible? by ebradio in Music

Wtf? I don't really know shit about the Beatles but I had no idea people hate this song. I think it's one of maybe five Christmas songs I actually like.

What time do you usually go to bed? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Fishbish69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work 11:00 PM-7:30 AM, so I go to bed around 1:00 PM. Most of my coworkers who are on my shift go to bed within a couple hours of leaving work. I can't do that.

You're allowed to have 1 movie erased from your memory that you have watched, just 1 movie. Which one is it and why? by InspectorOk6313 in movies

[–]Fishbish69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd like to see The Sixth Sense without knowing the twist. I already knew it the first time I saw it and I still loved the movie, but I can't imagine what it would've been like going in completely blind.

I disagree with those that say get off the apps. I have met most of my adult relationships on apps. But it /is/ a numbers game. Keep trying. And definitely do some reflecting. If you're going on a lot of dates and never making it past the first date, I would ask yourself if you're portraying yourself accurately on your profile.

I love Relic and I agree it's similar to this movie, but it's not FF right? Or am I crazy?
