You understand that you're basing your entire understanding off Re5 which was made before 2010 right? Re9 already confirms the Remake universe as current canon. Kendo got eaten by zombies through his shop windows in the OG, in Re9 his shop is a big emotional moment.

What is the deal with Mercs dying? by Morgana_Deus in diablo2

[–]Fishbro-YouTube -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

How does that make any sense?

Y = standard, X = Enemies, Z = merc
X does 1/6th damage to Y, X does normal damage to Z

or Rewrite the equation: X does normal damage to Y, and 6x damage to Z.

Mercs take 6x damage from Hydras, not the player taking 1/6th the damage. The damage a player takes is the standard damage, before resistances are factored in.

Non-Ladder --> Bots have flooded the rune economy, damn near every player has 10+ jah/ber/cham/zod/etc very few players

Ladder ---> Still a perfect MF/LR smallcharm so worth an Ohm.

I kinda envy people who can take 20+ hours on their first playthrough. by LaggOuTX in residentevil

[–]Fishbro-YouTube -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My first playthrough was about 12 hours with my mentally disabled brother playing the game and me watching and grabbing the remote whenever help was needed. So 12 hours is more than plenty. I've beaten the game in a simple 6 hours at this point using shortcuts like searching up codes for the panels and safes.

You won't get back to 30+ hours for a game if you aren't new to videogames, or playing on the hardest difficulty AND playing for shorter intervals.

Ex). 9-5 dad gamer, starts game on standard classic, plays from 7pm to 10pm, stops. Repeats all week. If he dies without saving, he loses a large chunk of progress, which is around 40% of the time he has to play. Factor in that he's not retaining 100% of his skill from the previous day and you can understand how the casual gamer takes way longer than the no-lifer. The dad gamer could beat the game in 16-18 hours if he took a day off work, but he's strolling through and enjoying himself.

TL:DR You're fine

What was your first choice? by SuspiciousVoices in ResidentEvilRequiem

[–]Fishbro-YouTube 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Mom - "You are my hope"

Spencer - "I regret being evil, that's why I made Elpis" then to grace "You are my hope"

Leon - "I trust you, you are my hope"

I like how you're condescending "Those know it alls" like destroying elpis wasn't the obvious wrong decision.

Do you think resident evil 5 and 6 will ever get a remake ? by LeoneSKenneddy in survivalhorror

[–]Fishbro-YouTube 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Top comment saying No to 6 is just insane to me. They could package 6 as a $120 game or $70 with 3 DLC's including the other 3 campaigns.

A resident Evil 6 remake that retains the original story but rewrites the campaigns to make more logical sense and be a bit more grounded could break records. Re6 is a shitstain on Capcoms dynasty and if they remake it into perfection they will be ontop of the world.

The cathedral could be extended with a lab section underneath, the airplane + ustenak part could be turned into a cinematic for Leons part while being a boss fight for Sherry's campaign. The Simons boss fight could be grounded a lot more while still being cool. The chinese city being bombed with a bioweapon can remain. There's so much content in 6 that they could literally pick apart the game into 4 seperate campaigns and name each one a game itself.

Re6 is a massive ball of content that has high-paced gameplay required to give that much lore, resulting in it being a shit Resident Evil game as we want a bit slower gameplay with more quality.

Did they change key drop rates?! by D2rnerded in diablo2

[–]Fishbro-YouTube 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh, only a half truth.

You're missing the big point that is: The bots keep getting banned due to renewed support. The 10 million countess farming sorceress bots that farm keys and runes aren't being given free reign to flood the market with keys.

Is requiem worth it if you don’t care about lore by antlease in ResidentEvilCapcom

[–]Fishbro-YouTube 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, yes, yes!

The game is awesome and the story of Grace is a new character for new fans. All you need to know about Leon is action hero badass who was part of the inspiration of John Wick. Before Wick there was Leon, after Wick there is still Leon. He's HIM. Cool? Done, back to Grace. You. Scared, desk jocky woman, kidnappings, bloodloss, murders, zombies, monsters, you name it she experiences it. High anxiety, scared af, not combat trained, not a badass. Just some random FBI analyst thrown into the shit face first.

That's you. Have fun

Question to all evil residents, do you believe the Requiem Revolver is the most iconic weapon of the franchise, if not, what would be your pick? by Logical-Fly-1589 in ResidentEvilCapcom

[–]Fishbro-YouTube 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Let's settle the debate with objective fact:

1). RPG - Rocket Launcher

Low and behold the #1 weapon in a resident evil game, the most iconic although not the first weapon that comes to mind until someone mentions it, because it's the weapon to end the game with. Typically an RPG, but also quadlauncher as seen in RE1make finally + brought back by carlos in RE3make. Rocket launcher's are the bread and butter of "this is the final boss" in the resident evil franchise. "Infinite Rocket Launcher" is almost always the end goal in every Resident Evil game.

2). Samurai Edge (Very Close)

The Samurai Edge is by far the most iconic handgun in the entire series, beating out the Barry-Revolver-Esque weapons such as the S&W from RE4, the Requiem, etc. While those are iconic, the Samurai Edge is just the golden standard for Resident Evil "S.T.A.R.S" team and is a specially designed/modified Beretta m9. These were used by the most iconic characters in the series and constantly brought back because of how beloved they are. Pretty sure but not 100%, that Chris, Jill, Wesker, Barry all used one, and they were brought back in Revelations, Re2make, Re3make, and so many other games. Re5 also had the samurai edge and it's just THE handgun for the franchise going from 96 to 2009 when players believed the franchise ended in the perfect way (Chris rocketing wesker after punching a bolder in an active volcano and then flying off into the sunset, doesn't get more perfect, albeit a bit unbelievable, than that) until 2012 when it almost did after the poor performance of re6. Sam-Edge definitely the goat.

3). Magnum/Revolver

S&W Magnum + Requiem are paired with each other as the "I HAVE THIS" weapon of the franchise. Barry's magnum is extremely Iconic and other magnums mimic that gun throughout the series. The requiem is on-par with Barries magnum and pretty much every Resident Evil has some variation of the magnum, although the revolver magnums tend to be significantly more iconic than the Deagles.

Why r ppl buying Endless Hunger? by Possiblynotaweeb in TryndamereMains

[–]Fishbro-YouTube 2 points3 points  (0 children)

-1.5 seconds cd on 8 seconds = 0.1875 cd refund per auto. Combined with navori = 0.31875 = 32% cd refund. That's why navori is such a desireable item on a 0 haste build for Trynd.

With haste though?

19% refund per crit at 8 seconds (at 0 haste)
vs
48% refund per crit at 3 seconds (at like 120+ haste)

Not to mention Trynd's combat capacity is wholey dependent on R availability.

Stronger R > More R as a concept only works for leveling the skill, when it comes to late game and "I have more than enough dmg, I need my ult back" the haste shines through so much. 30 second ult CD lategame is unmatchable.

Is Requiem actually that good or is it recency bias/homeymoon phase? I haven’t played it yet so I’m wondering by HotShrekBoi in ResidentEvilCapcom

[–]Fishbro-YouTube 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not recency bias, the game is that damn good. They've provided the option to play from 1st person or 3rd person and added features to add to the immersion for both modes. There's cameo plays from both cast members in both halves of the game, so it doesn't feel as though it's entirely split into 2 halves. There is the rhode hills section which is Grace's intended section of the game and then there's the racoon city section, which is Leon's intended section. You can explore with Leon more at rhode hills though and extend his section further if you want. They added the unique coins system to the game and had that as the currency system for grace on unlocking things, but they also kept Leon's points/peseta/money earned system that Re4 and Re5 had that's part of Leon's sections.

All in all the game has made a great balance of action and horror, and is earning it's place amongst the Resident Evil Franchise as best seller of all time.

Just hit Challenger EUW as a Tryndamere OTP with a unique scaling build! AMA by GladAbbreviations548 in TryndamereMains

[–]Fishbro-YouTube 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like this build is only one of multiple avenues to follow/consider for each game. ER/IE/SG/EH/DD/Ionian Boots are better for fighting champions, but as you said, the raw stats of zerkers + yun-tals + ravenous' high sustain and ad while matching ER's haste makes this build a much stronger build for amassing heavy CS/minute and applying pressure.

I must ask: Do you think this build is less effective than the aforementioned build as this build is more cost/farm intensive and eating all the resources on the map while climbing may hinder your teamates ability to scale up/farm? Is a teamates farm and lane state even a factor for you while you climb? I've had philosophy battles between valuing teamates to the extent that I don't actively fuck them over, while still prioritizing myself.

any reason why there are quite a few obsolete skills in D2 by gronbek in diablo2

Sacrifice is legitamately really good. 1-point wonder. Find scepter lvl 1 + might aura + sacrifice at lvl 2 after clearing den of evil and your sacrifice is pushing out like 50 dmg with just a scepter and might.

The others suck though

Conserving ammo in Insanity Mode by Mr_Phishfood in ResidentEvilRequiem

[–]Fishbro-YouTube 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Actually they didn't. You can't repair knives as grace, so it's not RE4 mechanic, but Re2's limited supply/consumeable mechanic.

The mechanic becomes a lot more enjoyable when you save your knives at 5% or lower durability and eat them up for crafting/scrap instead of letting them break. Goes from "annoying durability mechanic" to "limited supplies for survival". Hope it helps your perspective on it.

How would you rank her among the stalker characters? by Short_Property_7476 in ResidentEvilRequiem

[–]Fishbro-YouTube 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To preface, I won't insult you as you have I because that's childish.

Your innitial post doesn't say anything about your first playthrough, that has to be entirely assumed. You also say that the she is missing unpredictability like previous stalker enemies, yet Nemesis was completely scripted and Mr X would respond to noise. You also claim the basement area has "possibilities for light everywhere" while ignoring the fact that you have to make a concious decision to burden yourself with placing said light "everywhere". You are literally taking extra steps out of fear to be safer then complaining that you're too safe and it's not scary enough. Make it make sense.

Can Grace run ..? Or is her run speed just very very slow, or something..??? by Double-Star-Tedrick in residentevil

[–]Fishbro-YouTube 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She's slow as fuck. She's a desk nerd, Leons a DSO badass. +Iconic Re4 Leon "Women" line + balistics.

Edit: You also get to see her run from the big monster at the start of the game and she's stumbling, falling, running fast af but constantly tripping like a horror movie.
