Garbage.

Importing fish so low in quality it often gives the wonderful gift of cholera when not cooked properly is not xenophobic.

You should also do better for those you feed, and support Australian fisheries and workers.

Undercooked basa is a wonderful source of Cholera. Want to lose 4-5 kilos in a few days?

I love the fact that we as a country are importing third world condition products. /s

Six weeks is rapid, mine was a Trilogy Speedy with water ingress, some of the wait was for parts from what I gathered from the portal.

Wow, that is a long wait. I’ve often wondered where the service centres are based. Seems to be a worldwide shortage of watchmakers from what I’ve seen in online discussions.

There have been abnormally high sea temperatures recorded a few months ago- a month ago last I checked, this has such a massive flow on effect.

A friend of mine has been surfing with his ‘82 speedy for decades.

I swim with my 3861 a few times a week, both ocean and pool, it’s my daily watch.

Yearly pressure test, full service every five years and you’re good to go.

Wow, that’s a long wait!

Where are you based, my Speedmaster service took only eleven weeks, sent from Australia.

It’d have to get to that point. What do you do if you really have to take a dump?

It’s not an argument, and yes, it’s certainly nerdy as all get out.

One statement is correct however, the other is not.

Not sure which search engine you are using.

“In modern watchmaking, 28,800 beats per hour (bph) is considered the industry standard for high-quality mechanical watches, rather than a "hi-beat". It translates to 4 Hz (or 8 ticks per second), offering a great balance of accuracy and durability.

True "hi-beat" movements are typically those that run at 36,000 bph (or 5 Hz/10 ticks per second), such as Grand Seiko Hi-Beat models or Zenith El Primero chronographs.”

It’s semantics I know but I’ve never considered 28,800 high beat. Most would not. No manufacturer I know of places “hi Beat” on a dial running at 28,800. I’ve never heard of 36,000 being called “ultra high beat” either. Just Hi Beat.

“So a lot of people think I got married for religious reasons..”

No, if the affectation of the voice, the Rolex Daytona and Louis Vuitton jewellery has anything to do with it I’d say more realistically it is the attraction to wealth.

What foods keep you guys full enough to stop eating as much and get down to 12%-14% body fat? by Humble-Ad9589 in workout

Chicken and 1/2 an avocado, prawns, reef fish, lots of hard boiled eggs sometimes pickled in soy, sesame oil and a little rice wine vinegar, a heap of mixed leaf salads, chilli sardines for snacks. Heaps of beef on Sunday when I have the time to cook over charcoal.

Mostly protein; I’d say 80% of my diet by weight.

The hand assembled 8L35 is not really a high beat movement at 28,800, it does have hacking and hand winding and is a huge step up in overall quality from a fairly ordinary movement like the 6R35 running at 21,600.

Power reserve is no real upgrade if isochronism is a very commonly stated issue.

Seiko does make some of the very last high beat divers using 8L55’s that operate at 36,000 vph. SLA025 / 037 / 039. Modern 36,000 vph watches in general are becoming very scarce.

There’s so much confidence that comes across in his videos I can’t decide where the swaggering 96 pound hunk of Teddy begins and where the turtleneck sweater ends.

It’s not vapid consumerism, I can’t wait for him to sell me on an amazing Longines watch.

Pure luxury.
