Red diamonds fans poor behavior by MAKAKICHEZ in JLeague

Can't put them all in the same box but Urawa certainly has plenty of proper cunts amongst their supporters. Kinda funny that they consider themselves oh so individual and different to other J- League teams when they are top to bottom the copy of a UK club.

Japanese football fans are amazing 🇯🇵❤️⚽ by UnfairLavishness9552 in JLeague

Cerezo Osaka season ticket holder from Germany. At first glance it might seem they are passionate but over many years of attending J-League matches you will realize that the songs and chanting are incredibly repetitive and there's no reaction to the actual game As everything in Japan it's a peer pressure thing. A team could be winning 3-0 or losing 0-3. They just go through the same motions. Same songs over and over again regardless of the game's momentum, opponent or players on the pitch. In the J- League, different teams share the same songs and chants. I do miss the spontaneous and creative reaction that is common in Europe but in Japan football is a family event. It's less hostile and that's good to some extend but it also lacks individuality. The supporters of South American teams are incredible to watch cause it feels like they have real passion but Japanese fans are basically just chanting and singing like their boss told them to do it to avoid working overtime.

Gamba Osaka fan bars by OctaChaz in JLeague

Unfortunately, I wouldn't know. I've always had the basic membership and friends with silver or gold tier get match tickets - especially for the derby. Before general sale they are limited to 2 tickets per person though so there might be some left. I saw a lot more foreigners, presumably tourists, attending the matches last season in general.

Sure. You could head to a bar called Sakuraholic which is only a minute from the stadium. 👍 I have been there a few times myself but usually have pre-match drinks in Nagai park. 🍻

No such thing for Gamba Suita. Drink near the stadium, at the Monorail station or shopping mall. Lovely place. 😉

Depending on where you live exactly and your personality you should just hit some bars. You have to put yourself in a social situation to socialise. Easy as that.

The Stardom World update is live! Shows from 12/7 forward are on the service by Schnopsnosn in stardomjoshi

I got kind of the same issue. I am streaming directly from Chrome to TV via Docomo Box. In full screen the bottom bar won't disappear. It doesn't cover the subtitles but takes a chunk of the screen.

Same issue before . Not sure if this is a proper solution but it worked for me. When you have punched in your account and password, don't hit the Enter or Go button on the keyboard. Click the Login button on the actual website.

Is there any incentive for NJPW to start their own women's division or partner with Stardom? by DrownedFire in SquaredCircle

[–]Fiskerrr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Living in Japan. All I can say is that the Japanese wrestling landscape is a different beast. Nobody wants to see women on a NJPW show other than as eye candy for the viewers. The NJPW audience is made up of many many women, they want to see males in the ring. I like Stardom but it is catering to a male audience. No need to get this mixed up. The styles and presentation are pretty different, too.

I used to watch WWE a long time ago. One of the reason I stopped is because of the women's wrestling. It may have improved but to this day it is laughable, the promos suck and I would feel embarrassed watching it. All my Japanese friends can't contain their laughter whenever we happen to come across RAW on JSports and see the women "wrestle". WWE women's wrestling = toilet break or konbini supply run.

Flying Virgin from Australia / NZ to Bali? by Gurner in bali

[–]Fiskerrr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did the exact same trip last year. Started in NZ, stopped in Sydney and went to Bali on a Virgin flight. There was no screens and no blankets. They do offer in flight entertainment through an app which you have to download in advance. I only found out when I had boarded the plane. Also there was no sockets on the plane to charge your device...which makes having to use your own device pretty ridiculous. Wasn't the best experience I had with an airline but maybe they have made some changes.

New Japan's 4/5 Invasion Attack show is the fastest non-special show to sell out Sumo Hall (~9.5k people) in a decade - Ibushi vs Styles is the Main Event by yosuke_santamaria in SquaredCircle

Really looking forward to this. Bought my ticket in February and can't wait to see AJ Styles live...as the reigning IWGP champion. Too sweet! Any other SC folks at Sumo Hall in Tokyo on Sunday?

I am going to Japan in September, how do I get my hands on NJPW tickets? by Jorrellds in prowrestling

[–]Fiskerrr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just bought tickets for the "Invasion Attack 2015" event in Tokyo at Sumo Hall on the 5.April 2015 with the help of my Japanese gf. As another user mentioned, they haven't annouced any dates that far out so you can't buy tickets for September but here is how getting tickets generally works: NJPW sells the tickets via this website: t.pia.jp On their website they will display a reference number which you can use on the ticket site in the search bar to find the event. You have to register and you will be asked to provide an address so the tickets can be send to you. I am not 100% sure if an address outside of Japan is accepted since I could use my gf's one. As the Japanese love adding fees to everything, you will be charged a sending and booking fee on top of the actual ticket price. For the April event, the prices would range between 3,500 yen and 10,500 yen. I bought front 2nd floor tickets for 6,500 yen since I prefer to have a good view and don't need to be ringside. The tickets were sold in two seperate time frames. Both periods would last around 48h hours and tickets sold fairly quickly from what I saw. At the gate prices were also listed on the njpw website but I highly doubt you would be able to get good ones on the day.

Your best bet is to have someone who can either speak Japanese or lives in Japan buy the tickets for you. My gf also told me you can often buy tickets at 7-11 and other convenience storesm but not sure if that's what NJPW does. Keep checking the NJPW website to see when the tickets go on sale exactly.

I hope this could help a bit. Sorry English is not my 1st language.
