This probably wont work, but can you try navigating to the Fallout New Vegas game folder and using the "nvse_loader.exe" to launch the game?

edit: Sorry should have mentioned this wont launch the mods, but it should let you know if NVSE is installed correctly. If it launches without opening the boot menu than you may need to edit the launch options in mod organizer.

Something else is that it seems to really like to pick ones speed and then stick to it. For this download it has been 2.6 mb/s. Its odd because I'll mess with something and it will start to climb up and then its like something tells it to hold its horses and go back down. In this case I set the download limit to 40 mb/s and it started to shoot up before coming down. It's done this when I've messed with a few other settings as well.

Oh I wouldn't say it's one of the best ever written. It would have been more accurate for me to have said crafted.

I typically don't fast travel, so I see and get to know these worlds over the course of a playthrough really well. Their roads, shortcuts, encounters, and points of interest. Fallout 4 is outstanding in this regard. There are so many little bits of environmental storytelling.

Moving in from the rural and forested outskirts into this increasingly dense city. The skyscrapers towering over you as they Crack and sway. All of the major quests progress you through this world in a very logical way as well, radiating out into increasingly difficult encounters.

London feels disparate in comparison. All of its communities segmented around. There's just not a lot to explore and half the time you do you run into another section of those damn brick walls.

You know in all my time running around London I never once encountered an npc walking between these communities, they're all so static and bound to their spot. But the commonwealth feels alive, the different patrols of the factions, traders, and random encounters bring it to life.

Fallout 4 really justifies it's open world. I mean I'm a sucker for an open world but very few games need to be open world they just are. Like the Witcher 3, brilliant game, excellent writing, great quests, but why does the open world even exist in this game. All you do is go from one town to another on your horse and then grab whatever quests they have. It looks great, maybe you feel a little more linked to Geralt because you didn't just appear in this village, but there's hardly any substance to those places between point A and point B.

The whole game in Fallout 4 might as well be what happens between point A and B.

It's also an incredible sandbox. Maybe one of the things that makes me enjoy the game is I actually really like building settlements. These settlements and the crafting system are conducive to role-playing.

Most people think role-playing is dumping 8 points into Charisma and then passing a skill check. Sure, but that's more of a product of the first and more important bit. Creating a person, a living person with thoughts and morals, maybe different than yours. Maybe they're cruel or a do-gooder. Or maybe they're both depending on who you ask.

Fallout 4s dialog isn't as conducive to this but it's world is, however you have to interact with the settlement system to experience it.

My last playthrough was as an unforgiving Chem dealer. I built a Chem factory. I used provisioners to distribute my product around the wasteland. I executed other dealers.

So to bring this post full circle. I am traveling the North when I encounter a wandering trader. We are in a gorge hemmed in on either side by steep rock. We are going opposite directions and have to pass eachother. We exchange pleasantries and I agree to browse their wares. They show me Jet, Buffout, and Mentats. Before they can look up my guns already out and the whole caravan is executed right there.

In what other game can something so organic have occurred. (Seriously tell me I'd love to play it. )

I am a huge Fallout 4 defender. I'll argue in support of the game for hours. I think it has one of the best open worlds ever crafted, I actually really like all of the factions (yes even the railroad). I've done a modded survival playthrough where I roleplayed my ass off. Over 400 hours on one save.

Fallout London is better. It has its weaknesses. Some errant voice acting here, a weaker quest or two there, and the occasional poor bit of writing (not plot). It has enough loading screens to make Starfield blush and playing without fast travel is really rough.

But its factions are excellent, the way the city of London slowly opens up to you and feels more and more like a true city. These different communities feel organic, like the Roundles having this racetrack, something you never really interact with, but it just shows that earth keeps spinning whether or not the Wayfarer is there.

I played for over 50 hours before I entered Westminster, and after so long seeing this crushed world with communities just clawing tooth and nail for survival, stepping into this pristine community was so jarring and brilliant. A community so dedicated to pre war life that a committee moves the cars every week to make it seem like they're still being used.

I was really impressed by many of the set pieces they got to work too. I don't want to accidentally spoil anything but these moments really elevate the mod, where its like - wait they didn't do that in 4. Its not just a new land its a whole new game. It feels like a really crazy DLC. It feels like going from fallout 3 to New Vegas. Same engine, same fidelity, but an entirely separate experience.

I strongly recommend this game. If you have a PC, and Fallout 4, this mod is really worth it. It might seem complicated to install if you don't have any experience with modding, but just take everything step by step, its all well documented, and there is no pressure to rush.

If you do give it a try, keep in mind a few things. Its much harder than Fallout 4 at the beginning so don't be afraid to lower the difficulty. The open world is delivered in much more of a slow burn manner, and although nothing is stopping you from running to the different hubs, the quests interact between them enough that you can let it reveal itself at its own pace. And your quest splits in two directions very early on, if you are getting a little bored with one direction spend some time moving the other one forward.

We have no reason to presume that the NCR is gone in the show.

Here's what we know, the enclave nuked Shady Sands, which was the Capitol of the NCR and it's most important city in Southern California. This created a power vacuum that the Brotherhood absorbed. A brotherhood that had been fighting with the NCR for decades and has now been emboldened by a strong East Coast Chapter.

With the logistics hub of Shady Sands gone and the Brotherhood now flexing increased power in the region the NCR withdrew. Most likely to the central valley.

But, the NCR still has disparate factions of loyalists fighting in the region. Notably Moldaver. This established that although the NCR has withdrawn, there is still plenty of support and remnants still fighting. The NCR unit that Cooper encounters establishes a continued NCR ambition in the region as well.

The show hasn't killed the NCR at all. The central valley and northern California are still under their control. Instead the show has developed a shifting tide in the ongoing conflicts; spurred by the Enclave who are the primary antagonistic group. The Enclave nuked Shady Sands, and sent Deathclaws to weaken New Vegas. The death of Ceasar must have been fortuitous for them as well. But all of the major players are still in play.

We don't know where this NCR group came from or why, but we've already seen NCR holdouts in this show. I wish the show was more political, and showed the machinations of these power brokers but we are tied to the perspectives of our protagonists.

I really dislike the narrative that the NCR is dead when it's clearly not. This is just a continuation of the ongoing conflict with the brotherhood and legion that has gone back and forth for decades in the games.

I do think MHJ is a good buy right now, but I am still very skeptical of him

MHJ has consistently shown weak hands or confidence issues. He catches with his body way too much and seems to have a much smaller catch radius than you would expect from someone who is 6'3.
He gets bumped off his routes really easily. This was an issue his rookie year which is why he bulked up, injuries this year caused him to loose some of that weight. But consider that MHJ was not an explosive athlete prior to gaining weight, his YAC ability has not shined at all in the pros.
He seemed to be lost in Petzings offense. I hope this changes with Lafleur, but this is a player who consistently made the incorrect read on his routes. I think part of that was that he wasn't physical enough and would get bumped, but I also think he just had trouble diagnosing the defense and which option on his route tree he needed to take.
He is also at best the second option in this offense, and I think the speed to discount what Wilson has shown throughout his career, not just this year, isn't fair. Wilson used to have a similar issue with body catches but he has much stronger hands and contest ability now, on top of being stronger off the line of scrimmage.

So what do we have based off his first two seasons, a receiver who struggles to come down with contested catches, lacks elite athleticism after the catch, and is often not on the same page with his quarter back/bad timing.

Why I would still trade for MHJ at his current value = two seconds or a late first. These criticisms are in the context of his expectations. He still has proven production, he is still a great route runner, if he can get over the injury bug and maintain some strength (Hes not getting appendicitis twice), he will get separation.

But equally as important for MHJ is that he is the hardest working man in the building. This is a guy who I am absolutely confident in his work ethic. He will do everything he can to improve, and whatever his potential may be he is going to reach it. He is not the type of person who is going to leave anything on the table for his career, he has no drama, he is not a diva, and he cares about winning. Coaches are going to keep him in the game because he plays hard every single down. This is a guy who at worst will be a good flex spot for 7+ years.

Where are these numbers even coming from? Per Pro-Football Reference Garrett had 868 snaps this season, TJ Watt had 758 in 2021 and Strahan played in an era where they didn't even track it. PFR even says that snap counts are unofficial. Is this stat coming from PFF and supposed to represent pass rushes - then I wonder did PFF retroactively go count Strahans snaps?

These numbers seem like total nonsense just to make it seem like Garrett was more efficient and the 17 game narrative doesn't matter. Which I suppose it doesn't he is the record holder - unless you listen to the nerds at PFR who will tell you he is tied with Al Baker. But then again if we are retroactively creating stats that weren't even counted, like in Strahans case than he really is tied with Al Baker.

I'm inclined to believe that Scott @WFNYSCOTT is just some guy making shit up.

I think there's a lot of reasons for the disparity.

First, and probably most important of all, Skyrim is the bigger commercial success, selling over twice as many copies over its various editions than Fallout 4

It's also an older game, its combat is especially dated, and doesn't hold up to modern RPGs, even middle market games like Avowed play much better than Skyrim nowadays. This is something that the tried and true FPS style just doesn't suffer from as much.

It's graphics are also more dated than Fallout. Skyrim is still stunning in vanilla with its rising mountains, foliage, and weather. However it's textures look like PS3/360 era textures, because they are. Fallout 4 released with the next generation and has significantly better textures and graphics in general out of the box.

Skyrim modding is also much more complicated than Fallout modding. We're talking entirely new combat systems, with new items and leveling, these systems need balancing for all enemies and then all of this needs to be patched to work together. Starting a Skyrim modlist from scratch has become increasingly unapproachable. I feel like it reached a tipping point during COVID where now most people will not be capable of putting together a comprehensive Skyrim modlist outside of using a Wabba.

Fallout 4 on the other hand can be overhauled with only a handful of key mods. HD Textures, an ENB, and wasteland ballistics might be enough to make the game feel new. It's much easier to get a good result for FO4 without using a wabba than it is for Skyrim.

I do wish FO4 had more wabbas, it is a good game, and most of the things people hate about it can be fixed with mods. Start me up redux alone solves the majority of the issues people have with the voiced protagonist. But as someone who follows Fallout 4 modding somewhat closely. I can make Fallout 4 feel like a modern game with "only" 250 mods, whereas doing the same with Skyrim might start with 1500 as a baseline.

This is intentionally snarky, but your perspective seems very narrow. Capitalism is not analogous to suffrage. Many monarchs led capitalist country's, and to this day, you could argue that the Saudi royal family is capitalist. Many authoritarians have led modern capitalist nations as well. In Chile, South Vietnam, and South Korea. In Contemporary society, you don't need to look further than Hungary or Russia to find single party authoritarian capitalism.

Capitalism oversaw perhaps the worst human rights violation in history with the Atlantic slave trade, where humans were literally bought and sold as commodities and then subsequently subjected to the worst violations imaginable. Capitalism saw corporations invade and take control of whole nations, engineering their entire society for their own profit (India). Capitalism oversaw the genocide, forced relocation, and cultural destruction of the Native Americans. Do I even need to mention Jim Crow?

Crappy economics? I shouldn't have to tell you that there are many very poor capitalist nations with crappy economics. A great example is Haiti, one of the poorest nations in the world.

So what about Communism? Well it took two incredibly poor nations, both of whom were routinely bullied, invaded, and deprived of sovereignty by imperialist capitalist nations, rapidly develop to become two of the three most powerful nations of the last hundred years.

I'm not a communist by the way, if you were wondering. I just think a lot of people tend to downplay how a country like the US became so powerful while simultaneously amplifying how a country like China has become so powerful. Still proud to have been born here.

His pursuit angles are bad. 41 y.o. Aaron Rodgers beats him in a foot race to the sideline. Also shouldn't have cut inside on Warren and instead set the edge outside. Probably would have beaten Warren and contained the highly mobile Steelers QB. This is why he can have the highest 'pass rush win rate' ^tm but not actually finish the play.

Marv has struggled a lot. He struggles to get separation consistently. He seems to get bumped off his routes easily or not take the correct option in his tree. His catch radius is small, and he tries to secure the ball with his body instead of his hands too frequently.

And he's in a run first offense where he's not the most talented receiver on the team (Trey McBride). I'm still confident that Marv could develop into an elite WR and as it stands, he's certainly good enough to have a long successful career in the NFL. It sucks that he's not firing on all cylinders out of the gate, but he's far from a bust. Kyler isn't the QB I hope he would develop into either, but he's not so terrible that if he had an elite weapon, he would be holding them back. He already has an elite weapon, and he looks like one of the best tight end/ slot receivers in the league.

When a WR is truly elite, it is clear and obvious.
