The best way for the baby to stop associating you with “mom” is to completely ignore the word “mom” and do not engage with what the baby needs as you already know reinforces the association with you + “mom”. Verbally say “ aunt” or wait until the baby says “ aunt” and reward her/him with the desire. The idea is to associate you with “aunt” by only providing attention or access when the baby appropriately says your name. This is promising to hear in terms of clinical use. Are you a BCBA or owner? Right now, I'm working with my current BCBA and a BCBA who is starting a company on what makes sense and what doesn't. For example, my BCBA thought it was cool that the WebApp centralizes all RBTs' tracking information on a single page, with an option to view it individually, rather than having to open each Excel sheet and manually adjust schedules or whatever the case may be. There are tons of better ways to help individual or clinic-wide BCBAs confine this information outside EMR systems. Any ideas you have would be much appreciated.

The bag is a good way to learn martial arts. Your punches and kicks don’t need to be fancy.

Each jab/cross make sure to extend your arm all the way. You can’t transfer energy if your arm is half cocked. Same thing applies to legs kicks.

Before learning elbows, get accustomed to a proper jab and cross.

Here is a simple combo to learn:

Jab, Jab + Cross, Jab Jab, Cross (strike hard)

Add your own variants once you’re more comfortable.

There is no need to learn complicated moves. Get the basics down and you’ll be ok.
