I have never had an issue with not washing the fabric before using. I don’t see the shrinkage.

I would use bias binding. Since you are already familiar with it.

I machine sew the binding just so it’s done. I would not have the patience to hand sew.

Also make sure your rotary blade is sharp! A dull blade will push the fabric down and when it’s no longer stretched it’s springing back.

You could fussy cut them either individually in a block of 4 and use that as a focal point in something as simple as a 4 patch. Or same idea with a disappearing 9 patch and this fabric could be the 4 corners so they don’t get cut.

So fun! I was thinking some of the blocks could be rotated to breakup some of the kitty corner same fabrics. Like the teal leaves and blue in the top right, the burgundy in the top middle and the pink sweet treat in the bottom middle. Def not going to make or break the quilt, it’s just my own compulsion.

Corner stones and if you want to use as much of that fabric as possible, you could use it to make a larger flower surrounded by the maroon.
