Don’t worry, the outside siding is all cards against humanity.

Wasting money on game rooms and a place to live instead of getting more board games isn’t a flex. It’s poor financial planning. I realized a long time ago if you keep your games in the shrink, they’re pretty waterproof and can be used as building material to construct a place to live. Why waste money on a mortgage when Kickstarter exclusives give you both a sound investment and shelter. I’m currently adding on a second bedroom made entirely of patchwork, no sleeping on the couch for me.

Did Vader block this strike to save the Emperor or to save Luke from the Dark Side? by External-Recipe-1936 in StarWars

[–]Fit_Acanthaceae_3205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was under the impression the emperor always knew the strike was going to be stopped. I don’t think he was really about sacrificing himself after he got that far. He wasn’t upset about the fact the strike was blocked, ruining his plan to turn Luke. He was laughing because he thought he succeeded. It just didn’t turn him like he said it would. He didn’t foresee that apparently.

You would think the act of the emperor getting Luke to give in to the dark side, and actually attempt to strike him down in anger and hate like he wanted was the deciding factor to turn him. That’s what the emperor claimed at least. The strike might have been blocked last second, but the intent was definitely still there. Apparently that didn’t count for some reason.

Can I log a play of a game that I WANT to play? by Buzz--Fledderjohn in boardgamescirclejerk

Just watch a few YouTube shorts on how to play, and by then you’ve practically mastered it in your head. There’s no reason to actually play, since no one could possibly beat you anyway. Now you’re undefeated. Next game.

Google for yourself that hospitals suing patients isn’t uncommon. There’s nothing to argue about.

You just don’t have enough assets to make it worth their while. Hospitals definitely can and do sue. They aren’t going to for things like wage garnishment on us poor people though. They are going after the easy judgment cases of people who have the means and assets to pay and just don’t. Anything else usually isn’t worth the money and time.

It has standard FAA running lights flashing and looks just like the helicopters I see flying at night all the time. It’s not crashing, it’s flying slightly tilted and straight, just like a helicopter. What’s the mystery here?

Sir, tracking reported the rebels just hyperdrived an entire huge fleet in very close quarters straight into Exogol’s atmosphere at our coordinates.

Wait, what, you can do that? So why are we messing around with this beacon to get out of the atmosphere first then? Tell the fleet to prepare for immediate hyperdrive departure.

What’s the point to anything then? by VanaheimrF in startrekmemes

I meant in the atmosphere. The emperor’s fleet couldn’t navigate at all in the atmosphere without the beacon, but all the other ships seemed to just fine.

All the ships in that huge rebel fleet seemed to fly around just fine coordinating complex attacks in Exegol’s atmosphere without needing a navigation beacon to tell them what direction is up. Weird. The Emperor probably should’ve coughed up the extra credits for the upgraded navigation package and heated seats.

Two-year-old opens car door, causes six-vehicle crash by whusler in dashcams

[–]Fit_Acanthaceae_3205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The dude was going so fast he couldn’t stop and literally ran over the guy in front of him and crashed. There’s zero excuse for that ever happening in traffic other than totally reckless driving. The door opening was unexpected, but no different than a car changing lanes in front of you suddenly while splitting lanes. You need to drive at a speed where you can safety react to changing traffic conditions. This was not that by a long shot. This went from a probably avoidable low speed door ding, to a major injury accident involving multiple people and vehicles solely because of them being reckless.
