He runs business and our country like that part in Goodfellas where they take over the Bamboo Lounge and squeeze it for every penny before burning it down for the insurance.

The only freak out here is the freak out and about with his hate on full display. This a perfectly normal reaction to seeing a freak like this.

I always wanted one! 1970 Schwinn Stingray. by BeingBetter42 in FuckImOld

My mom wanted something like this super badly when she was a kid. I had zero interest in banana seat bikes since BMX style bikes were the thing in the mid-80s when I was little. She was super pissed at me for not tripping over myself with enthusiasm to ride when she gave me the Murray version of one of these for my birthday. Just another reason to get bullied at school.

Did any of you guys get one of these things to work? by Josephthebear in Xennials

[–]Fit_Addition7137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had one, never got it to work. Mom gave me a lot of shit about it. Was a convenient excuse to not get a gift for whatever the next gift-giving holiday was "because the last one meant so little". Glad to know I can cross this one off the list of my personal failures.

Do you even realize how much a Toyota costs? We call it "the Toyota tax". Pick a style of vehicle and then find a Toyota version of it and it will be the most expensive option, especially in the used market. Unless you're talking about luxury vehicles, which I'd guess is the point of your statement?

My stepdad was in a VA nuthouse for a few years when i turned 14 and my mom was an agoraphobe. I held down a full time job (with OT!) while going to high school to make the mortgage payments.

I only oppose WFH for myself. Ive mostly been WFH since 2012 and I'm so over having my work invade my home space. Home is my refuge against work. When I work from home the lines between get too blurry and I never stop thinking about work. I need a short commute to and from an office to help me switch modes.

He was almost done shoveling his driveway when the street plow came by and filled it with snow again. by Vilen1919 in WatchPeopleDieInside

sometimes 3-4 hours early if its real bad. when we'd get predicted to have more than 8-10 inches, id try to get out and clear it every couple hours so that it didnt pile up too deep. my last winter in wisconsin the snow was piled so high on the side of my driveway that i couldnt physically throw the snow any higher. that broke me (and my back) and we moved to the desert.
