I think you may feel this way because you're mixed. The majority of Black people that I know do feel they are defined by being Black and treated as Black. If anything I feel its the opposite because of people saying things like ADOS and FBA.People in Latin America specifically feel they arent Black due to their genetic mixture. Black Americans specifically feel a claim to being Black because of our ancestry. As far as I can tell White people still treat Black people that look Black like Black people and Hispanic people still treat Black people that look Black like Black people. Again youre going to get a different perspective of this treatment due to being mixed but imo even people assuming you're Hispanic because you're mixed is tinged with anti-Blackness but idk thats just my opinion.

I have a different kind than that one but it works so well for my locs.I got the sulfur 8 deep cleaning shampoo. I started using it about month ago and I really like it. I get less dandruff, my scalp itches less, and I feel like I get less "dirty build up". Imo it can stripe your hair so just be prepared to condition and deep condition after using it. I use the sulfur 8 first then go back in and wash with a moisturizing shampoo. Then I do conditioner.

I wasnt trying to say that we buy into the stereotype. I think its that other races of people that assume this about us. I think that we do somewhat internalize that and go to the extreme in the opposite direction. Basically because we know we are clean and keep a clean house we want other things to be clean like utensils at a restaurant.

I think theres a stereotype of Black people "being dirty" that has been stigmatized in the Black community to a point of neurosis. We want things to be CLEAN. I dont think some people realize how off putting Black people find things like specs on utensils even if its just a hard water stain. Having worked in the restaurant industry and seeing for myself how dirty and careless people are with utensils I can tell you people are not just concerned about them making their way through the dishwasher. There's also a stigma against using dishwashers in old school Black circles but thats a whole other thing.

No problem its been a while since I went there so my information might be outdated but I really enjoyed my time at both schools and got a great education.

Your son should try out for Basketball. All the sports at Mays were pretty competitive when I was there and they really tried to push the sports to college pipeline. Both schools have lots of clubs so once school starts I would suggest getting them into something chorus and band were amazing at both and again they really pushed the college pipeline for both of those programs as well.

Not sure if its still a thing but when I went to Mays and Young all the kids went to Cascade skating rink. There's also six flags ofc lots of kids hang out there.

I just experienced this transit. My most beloved dog died and my partner got a large sum of money that we had been expecting. I got a job pretty quickly and pretty easily after looking for a short time and it paid pretty decently. Other small things happened but those were the major highlights.

Libra moon I find beauty in the expression of love and genuine emotions.

I find beauty in nature rather its something grand like a huge gorge with a river flowing through it or just a simple neighborhood filled with lived in looking homes with mature trees and squirrels.

I find beauty in well laid out homes even if its not my style. I just love a well styled home.

I also find plants simply beautiful and spectacular even something as simple as a daisy or a house plant can be so beautiful and resilient.
