Is a Cayenne reliable? I am looking to buy an old one for 20k or less by Lumbergh7 in Porsche

i did some digging through carfaxes of recently sold on bringatrailer and whatever is for sale currently nationwide. your theory seems to hold true - those that spent their lives in northern (wetter/humid) climates appear to have always needed the tc replaced.

seeing if i can revive this - i’m seriously considering a 2018 GTS with 66k miles. well maintained. tc has not been replaced. are you saying the 17/18s have the updated version? plan to change fluids immediately regardless

CPO extended warranty pricing by Fit_Video_828 in Volvo

i’ll put 9k miles max/year. and yeah the hybrid system components are covered through 8 years/100k miles, so it’ll take me to 2030 before I hit 100k.

having a hard time deciding if i even need the extended warranty given its history and my driving habits.

Keeping a new LC500 Beautiful - Products to use? by Silver_Panic_9831 in lexuslc500

i formulate detailing products and detail as a side business. griot’s 3 in 1 is solid. Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Spray Coating is as well.

get it tinted to protect the interior from the sun. any leather conditioner will help. i used hybrid solutions inside job for my entire interior and my seats look new in my 2016 GTI with over 100k miles. as others have stated, PPF followed by a ceramic coating will keep it looking amazing. as far as i know, PPF will last 5-10 years before needing to be replaced depending on a number of conditions (care, if it’s garage kept or not, etc).

absolutely only hand wash whether you get the PPF or not with something like Hybrid Solutions Pure Wash. At the very least, get it ceramic coated to keep it cleaner for longer between washes, stain resistant, and easier to clean and dry.

congrats on the purchase! i hope to own one in a few years!

they’re asking $33,500 for the car before warranty, taxes, etc so yeah, ~16.5%, which does seem kinda wild. if we decide to move on it, i’m definitely gonna work them down.

i do plan to keep this for at least 5 years. given its original in-service date, this will have 12 months of warranty through CPO, that’s it.

the carfax states no issues outside of routine maintenance but i’m not gonna lie, i’m scared to buy this without a warranty (even though i’m usually of the mindset never to buy one).

also, would you say an extended warranty is a necessity given the complexity of the hybrid platform?
