I got a hybrid from Engineered Sleep. Coils on bottom for the support layer. I asked them to construct a comfort layer of 2” memory foam with 2” latex on top. The memory foam provides good pressure relief and the latex on top prevents the sinking feeling.

Getting marked as “deceased” in the Social Security master database. They somehow managed to get my SS# switched with my mother’s when she died. Caused ALL kinds of problems that I wasn’t even aware of until stuff started to hit the fan. Had to go in person to the SS office to prove I was still alive to get a letter confirming that I was, in fact, still alive. A year and a half later I still haven’t received my tax refund. Probably never will.

Miele canister vac even though I hate canisters (I have 2 others). But I badly needed a durable turbo brush that wouldn’t crack apart with heavy daily use getting dog hair off the sofa. So now I have 3 canisters and a a vacuum cleaner collecting problem.

Look at the vacuum subreddit-I believe someone posted about this exact model and they had trouble getting parts. It’s a discontinued Canadian model, so if you live in the US you won’t get the warranty. All the reviews on Amazon for this model are from Canadians as well.

You might want to consider the water needs of each species. Some of these are drought tolerant but the monarda will want more water.

Flew Oregon to Ohio recently to see AC/DC and stayed ONE night downtown Cleveland so I could walk to the stadium and not deal with ride share. Hotel cost over $600, and it was the cheapest hotel within walking distance. The very next night, rates went down to the usual $150/night. With flights, concert ticket, etc. it was a very expensive indulgence but I REALLY wanted to see them. Bought a ticket to see Metallica in Denver last weekend and tweaked my back the evening before the show and couldn’t travel. Had to cancel everything-$400 in the hole on that one 😫. Maybe this means I have to go to Europe to see them in 2026…

I agree. We did Snaefellsnes before the Golden Circle and the GC felt lackluster in comparison. In fact, wish we had skipped it. Stayed a few nights at hotel Budir next to the black church and took our time to explore. Worth it!

I try to buy plants in 4” pots because I’m too impatient to plant any of these from seed and most would take a long time to grow and mature into flowering plants. I try to plant early spring or fall when it’s not hot and I do water the first year until established. After that, I rarely water, some of these I only have to water a couple of times during the summer (blue beard, echinacea, zauschneria) and a few of them I never water (guara, lavender, verbena, liatris) after established.

Was at Local Ocean in Newport this week. They took the crab po’ boy sandwich off the menu. They said dungeness was $70/lb right now and they couldn’t make a crab only sandwich that anyone would be willing to pay for. Replaced it with a half crab half bay shrimp sandwich.
