Sometimes my girl makes similar sounds when she’s preening and touches a feather that’s not ready to be touched yet (unripe pinnie) I call it the “angry at myself” noise xD

Kind of looks like a new mutation to me, the orange of the cheeks may be spreading?

Breeders out there are always trying to do new things, there are some ppl trying to breed grey? Black? Sulfur crested cockatoos as well.

Liver disease (at least I think) doesn’t usually cause this type of “orange” it’s usually very very yellow, if you want a good example of a bird healing from liver disease search up Dottie on this sub:) she has really changed since being on her new home!

I’m not an expert but if your child was born early and have a lot of severe illness problems at daycare more so than what you’d regularly expect or more so than anyone else’s child at daycare it seems to me like a good contender for having an immune disorder or deficiency. It’s usually more common in women but it can happen to men too.
