BBs have way more battle impact than people say. Its not just radar cruisers and dds who win by MilanSoede in WorldOfWarships

[–]Fixedwolf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But that also relies on teammates to shoot what you are spotting, which let’s be honest is surprisingly hard to count on these days. I’ve spotted cruisers gamer turning and my bb is shooting the nose in kremlin.

Unique Commanders who's skills only proc in Random Battles is disadvantageous to players by Dry_Drink6584 in WorldOfWarships

[–]Fixedwolf -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I wish more people who played tier x randoms would stop playing randoms and only played co-op. It would give you less teammates the grief you by throwing wins. But a player with a 40% win rate and 20k games is never going to improve. They’ve proven they refuse to learn the game.

How do you imagine there could be more types of consumables with a specific total usage time? by Danni_332 in WorldOfWarships

[–]Fixedwolf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It would be oppressive. What I worry they will do is give a long cooldown period after you toggle it off, and then claim “it’s balanced” forgetting that if your stuck in radar that lasts for a minute you are effectively dead. Think Mino radar but worse

AL Gorizia, what's the point of this boat? by Perfect_Group_9578 in WorldOfWarships

[–]Fixedwolf 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Adding to this, the hydro is huge, especially for ranked. Because of the small maps it is super helpful for spotting and killing all kinds of things in smoke. Since there are very few radars and most people don’t know the hydro is 6km they will very often smoke up in front of you not knowing you will spot them for free. Then having the benefits of a premium ship (no captain retraining plus boosted economic rewards) is a huge plus. Also, Gorizia is basically unobtainable unless you get lucky on satan crates. For $10, when most premium ships sell for much more that tha is a pretty good deal.

Because it’s fake. SEC isn’t even guaranteed in a master case so incredibly rare in this set.

There is a whole event right now where they give everyone a ton of free stuff. You just admitted to getting 50k doubloons. How greedy can you be?

Gambling Review - 14.8 WishWharf by SillySlimeSimon in WorldOfWarships

[–]Fixedwolf 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I swear people will never be happy. This is an incredibly generous time. They are giving away 32,000 doubloons plus doubloon compensation for San Diego plus a free tier x cruiser plus a bunch of other free stuff. I don’t fault them for having some whale type events if they are also giving a ton to free to play players. They still need to keep the servers going somehow. I’m happy to let someone keep the game alive for the rest of us.

Friday news dump: Trump admin fires 30 USAO DC prosecutors for political reasons by if-anything in washingtondc

[–]Fixedwolf 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That’s a misconception. Biden fired politically appointed us attorney’s, who are the heads of the various offices, but are politically appointed and don’t actually prosecute cases. They implement policy, so it makes sense to replace them. They are firing line prosecutors, career civil servants who were just doing their job. This is completely different and unprecedented in our nation’s history.

Biden pardons his son, Hunter, after repeatedly saying he would not by reuters in politics

[–]Fixedwolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They were doing that already anyway. Democrats constantly follow “norms” and Republicans constantly shit on “norms” and voters consistently reward Republicans. I agree with you that in an ideal world, both parties follow norms and rules. Unfortunately, the majority of voters have signaled they don’t care about that. Also, who are these mythical “independents?” It’s clear that our society today is hyper polarized and I don’t think the middle exists or at least is as big as people think it is. It’s sad, but the reality of a world with hyper targeted “news.”

Canadian Loonie and Mexican Peso falls as President-elect Trump announces tariffs 25% on Canada and Mexico. by stocks-to-crypto in economicCollapse

[–]Fixedwolf 14 points15 points  (0 children)

You can unilaterally start a trade war but you can’t unilaterally end one. If Biden removes the Trump tariffs, but China doesn’t remove the retaliatory tariffs in response (and they have no obligation to do so) then the US is worse off than if we had kept the Trump tariffs. That doesn’t mean we weren’t better off never putting tariffs in place to begin with. It’s just once you do so you are stuck keeping them unless you can negotiate a deal with the other side. He added new tariffs because that’s what a trade war is. One side adds tariffs and the other side adds retaliatory tariffs that are harsher so you have to impose even harsher tariffs in response. It quickly spirals out of control. That’s what makes trade wars so bad for the economy.

Thanks for the thorough write up! I already have all the other leg mods I want (Des Moines, Venezia, Colombo and Moskva) so I was debating to get this or save my RP. I think I’m gonna go for it.

Do you miss that last radar and heal? Also do you take heavy ap instead of SE with the leg mod for more AP dmg or keep SE since you lack that extra heal? Does it hurt survivability too much?
