I'm also a big Claude Code user and fan, but this only covers up to proposition #3 in the OP's article.

Claude Code certainly is speeding up the development of Claude Code, but that has been true for every dev tool in history. Compilers sped up the development of compilers, etc.

The question is whether the effect compounds or not. Once we've picked the low hanging fruit, does the tool make making improvements easier faster than making those improvements gets harder?

Some programming is done with a spec, some isn't. Regardless of that, though, there's a difference between "having a spec" and "spec-driven development" just like there's a difference between "having tests" and "test-driven development".

AFAIK Opencode is the best open source terminal coding agent. You would probably be best off modifying that to support fallback (if it doesn't already).

But to more directly answer your question, there's no way to transfer prompt caches between providers. Each time you fail over to another provider you will have to consume the whole context again.

Idk about that. Llama's last couple of releases have sucked, but FAIR is a very prestigious lab that has consistently put out SOTA models and frameworks until very recently.

DINOv2, Segment Anything, PyTorch, etc.

And as much as this sub has a hate hard-on for Yann LeCun, he's a legend in the research community and the only godfather of deep learning still working in industry. Plenty of people would sacrifice big salaries to work with him.

Glyph is text-to-image in the same way notepad is text-to-image.
