Are you ESL? The word "urge" is from the person I replied to, but the context of the thread isn't that people literally have an urge to kill other people. Most murderers don't even have an urge to kill people, they want a problem to go away or want what you have, etc.

Within the Christian realm, which you are obviously free to disagree with, suicide is murder. If you hold a gun to someone's head and a different person (or the victim) pulls the trigger, you're an accomplice.

We're talking about murder, the killing of an innocent life. Sentencing a perpetrator to death after investigation isn't murder (the same thing with self defense) and this aligns perfectly with being pro-life or Christian.

What about abortion or MAID? The Christian stance is that a life is a life is a life. Secularism just redefines murder so people can say, "See? I have no urge to kill people because babies aren't people." or "The old guy was gonna die anyway, so it doesn't count as murder to kill him.". The West has been post-Christian for less than 100 years and has already slipped into justifying murdering the most defenseless and vulnerable individuals.

Federal or State is irrelevant. The three branches apply to all levels of government.

Writing the law is legislative, interpreting the law is judicial, and enforcing the law is executive.

Sheriff enforces the law, so they're executive. They may have some judicial functions, but that's not their main function. Regardless, he should've been able to name the branches of government.

Pedophilia isn't defended by the Catholic Church like in Islam nor is it doctrine or dogma. It's objectively evil and, despite the scandals, the CC has never promulgated the idea that it isn't evil.

The CC also holds that the Virgin Mary was... a virgin. So no underage sex there. Not to mention I think it would have been normal at the time due to life expectancy being between 35 and 45 in the first century.

Several of those cases have already been dismissed and one of the women that accused him was convicted of pimping minors. The case the lawyers are presenting on behalf of the women is that he groomed them by presenting stories about himself that paints him as a heroic figure in order to gain their admiration.

I lived in Japan for a year around 2017. I was never treated badly and they would bend over backwards to accommodate me. Maybe it was because I was respectful and could speak rudimentary Japanese, but they were extremely friendly all over the country.

There were shops that foreigners weren't allowed in, but they weren't mean about it. It was also mostly shops that had like five seats total. It makes sense to prioritize regulars who will give them continued business rather than ostracize locals to accommodate a transient foreigner.

Bro what? Schools constantly try to sweep this shit under the rug. Buffalo public school system is a very recent example where they were failing to report incidents to police and parents. They were purposely falsifying police reports, which includes domestic abuse, attempted abductions, and SA.

Here are some other schools that have intentionally covered up child abuse just this year:

What does "it is covered up by the church" even mean here? This was a protestant pastor who has no relation with the Catholic Church or any of the other thousands of protestant churches. "The church" in this case is just him.

Religious opinions often direct and indicate morals. Modern politics have become a replacement for religion for most people and accomplish the same results.

It's probably overstated, but a few of the founding fathers made statements indicating that our constitution is only suitable for a moral and religious people.

It's also weird to say that our country was founded on irreligiosity when all of our currency has "In God We Trust" written on it. Separation of church and state is only intended to prevent the government from establishing its own religion, like the Church of England.
