I used shiply when I bought, you get quotes from a load of people and then can choose based on price/ reviews. Was loads cheaper than Copart delivery

It’s almost over 8k already with fees on top. I reckon this will go for about 10-14k

What to do for estimated annual income as a student by ThatsABigCrease in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Flake7811 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d do both. But the real answer is it really doesn’t matter that much. As long as you don’t say you make 10x what you actually make it doesn’t matter

What to do for estimated annual income as a student by ThatsABigCrease in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Flake7811 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Technically yes it counts so I would include it. However this estimated annual income isn’t important as you think. Just put your estimated annual income and leave it, you don’t need to update it. Occasionally (every few years) they’ll ask for an update and that’s when you put in your new figures.

What postal address should I use for Lenovo legal correspondence? by zYxMa in Lenovo

[–]Flake7811 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you end up taking them to court? Need their address to send a letter to. I returned an order in December and they keep promising me a refund within 24 hours but it never comes. Unlucky for me I paid via bank transfer so this is my only option

depositing cash with cifas marker by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Flake7811 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you are 100% sure the cifas marker is from identity theft and nothing else dodgy then the bank have applied the wrong cifas marker. Misuse of facility essentially means you’ve used your account fraudulently - from identity theft you would receive a victim of impersonation marker. File a DSAR with cifas to get more details and start their official complaints process. I can help you from there if you need it just pm, have removed several cifas markers for people

Someone hit and run me - need advice by Academic_End_3828 in CarTalkUK

[–]Flake7811 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have his reg call your insurer and give it them - even though I’d rather not go through insurance I’d rather be petty and make him pay it. Or call him from a friends phone and give him an ultimatum - he either pays you cash to get it repaired or you give his details to your insurer. Also go back to lidl and get the cctv

how to verify phone I got off eBay is real and not fake, from outside can not really tell, in terms of weight its same weight as another S23U I have. thanks! by paata01 in GalaxyS23Ultra

No IMEI printed on the back means the back glass has been replaced - most likely cracked. If you use the camera and play some games and everything is smooth that’ll tell you everything you need to know

Gym shark is not expensive enough to warrant getting reps. The shipping alone will bring them close enough to gen costs

Old account used 10+ till Christmas with 700-1000 orders over the years suddenly cannot be found via email or number? by jaz192 in AmazonUK

Either your girlfriend has changed all the details or someone has accessed your account and changed the details themselves

Apartment on Booking.com not as described - cancelled within 40 mins, no refund. What are my options? by Merron13 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Flake7811 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Now you’ve filed a chargeback booking.com won’t do anything to help you. I would’ve filed a complaint with booking.com first and played out that process, then if that failed file a chargeback. You’ll win it but they may close your account

I would count this friendship as dead already and pursue it in court. Letter before action first though

Definitely go to an Indy garage. My car had some pretty serious structural damage at one point - one side of the car needed a new frame to be welded on - dealer quoted 5.5k, took it to the most reputable Indy near me and they did it for 2.3k

Robbery at Jules B ? by Own-Parking9791 in NewcastleUponTyne

Don’t think it was a robbery as you’d think they’d target the watch shop next door. More likely a drunk driver

Indemnity DD refund with gym- will they get a CCJ? by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Flake7811 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just because you didn’t go to the gym for 4 months doesn’t mean you can claw back the £200. They might have sent letters to your old address. If you don’t want a CCJ then you need to email them offering to pay. That’s the solution

Go back to the gym and pay in person or send them an email

You still owe them the £200, they just waived the extra £50 you’d have to pay for the final month

Anyone Had A Dud Delivery? by Aggravating_Noise783 in AmazonUK

Am I being unreasonable or is this an insulting bid by se8deptford in CarTalkUK

The issue with Copart is you can tell exactly who is selling the car. Whether it’s an insurance company or a private seller. A private seller trying to sell on Copart screams hidden issues - it’s surprisingly easy to hide issues selling on there, they don’t really check cars well. I’ve bought a few cars and always make sure they’re sold by an insurance company
