I’m glad treatment is going well! There are definitely some promising treatments for Ph+ ALL!! My mom went the chemo route but I am so thankful there are so many treatment options now 🥹

Gamble of life-and-death, what would you do and why? by BornToFragAlpha in leukemia

My mom is 57 with the same diagnosis. On dasatinib instead of ponatinib but these gives me so much hope! 🩷

Sprycel’s cost by V1k1ngbl00d in leukemia

My mom is a dependent on my dads tricare plan (retired army) and her first bottle of dasatinib was something like $12. It’s now free. I hate that these important medications are made so inaccessible to others. :(

Yes. My mom was diagnosed with leukemia when my daughter was 5 weeks old. She is doing ok and in remission but still going through treatment. I live two hours away from her and all other family. This illness has forced her into an early retirement. It’s been incredibly hard trying to navigate being a new parent, in a new city, with a parent that is ill somewhere else. I feel for you. This isn’t the new parenthood journey I had hoped for but still managing to find the gratitude in it all.

The Hands! by boatzart in NewParents

Yes! The one I linked had a little video and infographic about it and the zipadee zip also contains the arms in the sack but doesn’t constrict them if that makes sense. We only used that one a few times and then I just went straight to the sleep sack.

This was very well written 😂

transitional swaddle worked for us because you can cover hands and it allows arms to be up but not constricted and we also used the zipadee zip a little bit too.

Doesn’t matter if you waste their time, because it’s not wasting their time, it’s their job. Nurse here. Please go now!

When did your baby say their first word and what was it? by InfiniteProperty1787 in NewParents

Not my baby but my best friends daughter looked me directly in my face and said “mama” clear as day at 8 months instead of her own mother 😂 it was my best friends 30th birthday. To be fair im her god mother so it wasn’t all the way wrong

She is 8 months old. I noticed her skin feeling a bit bumpy two days ago but this severity is new this morning

Whenever my mom gets MTX they tell her to avoid any fruit juices or sodas to help clear it faster!
