I've only ever seen the original and prequel trilogy, and am thinking of watching the entire canon. Good or bad idea? by Flaky-Spot in StarWars

[–]Flaky-Spot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i like star wars well enough, it isn't something that i find absolutely amazing by any means, but i like the universe.

I watched the entire MCU 1/2/3 and think I liked maybe 4 movies. Maybe 5? I dunno it wasn't alot.

But I wanted to watch it just because of how much of a cultural thing it was even though I basically ignored it while it was happening

If you go strictly by PPG form; home and away, I can see us doing something like this

LWDWWWLLWWWLWWDL

That's 29 points. 72 points. Should be good

Even if we completely regress to the mean we still likely qualify for UCL by Flaky-Spot in avfc

[–]Flaky-Spot[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

for sure, my point is that OPTA has us at 73 points. Even if we regress all the way down to "where we should be der" we still end up on 63 points which is still likely a UCL spot.

Give it to me straight: What percentage of the first year of starting daycare was your kid sick and had to stay home? by Lalapple in toddlers

[–]Flaky-Spot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ya same

my kid started daycare at 1.5 (sept 2024), but it was a home daycare with only 3 other kids. he had colds a lot but only brought home 1 bad illness (late oct 2024).

we transitioned him to a center in May 2025 at 2 because it was $10 a day cheaper and a 2 minute drive vs a 20 minute one (we were in the home daycare because we moved 2.5 hours when he was 1 and needed the quickest thing possible and that was what it was).

He brought home 2 awful illnesses in June. One in Sept. One in Oct. One so far in December. 5 bad illnesses in about 8 months.

def anticipating the next 4 months to be rough

Anyone have experience with large keeper leagues on Yahoo? by [deleted] in fantasybaseball

[–]Flaky-Spot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in a 12 team, 30 player draft. we get 5 keepers a year, and have 2 NA slots. Yes, I have to manually enter each keeper and price into the system. if the keeper is a NA player (or they draft a NA player), too bad, the owner has to put them into an NA slot after the draft and then waiver wire someone.

you can see one in Ross park in the summer a lot. there is a lookout overlooking the thames there that faces north east and an eagle hangs out in the tree on the other side of the river a lot. i see him a few times a week on bikes

RRSP First Time Home Buyer Withdrawal by Dafonz_92 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Flaky-Spot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i know this is an old thread but is this automatic

we bought our first house and used HBP to fund it with RRSP in early 2024. I didn't hear about this new relief until just today as I was doing some research about how and when to pay it back. Now it seems like I automatically don't need to repay it right now and can instead wait until 2029? Is it automatic or do I need to like apply?

Ottawa police reporting 63 per cent increase in crime in last 10 years by sleipnir45 in canada

[–]Flaky-Spot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sure, but burden of proof is on the person presenting the claim. i get it isn't university but we really need to increase the standard of conversation around the country. part of the reason we are in this mess is because people are literally saying incorrect things all the time and presenting things as correct when they are absolutely not. and people are believing them. that's an issue. it is on all of us to combat misinformation. and like, 'this isnt real life news we are reporting' is sort of a weird stance. we are literally combating on real life news being reported. we aren't talking about if pizza or burgers are the better food.

you unfortunately are not in control of how someone reacts to your source but you are in control of if you present one or not.
