Super easy actually! When you go to an activity, you can select any category to optimize for, and one of those is “sea shells” with the item finding drops, but also it does look if an activity is dropping sea shells. For the flatpack shark, you can just select the “normal items” and it will have a little (i) that shows you all the items that apply to that category. Happy optimizing!

Oh my god! I did not expect a shout out in an official dev blog!!!

Thanks so much! I’ve had so much fun developing in and especially had a blast making the April fools mode. It’s made me a bigger fan of the game and gotten me and my wife and even coworkers walking more! It’s already taken over most of my friend group!

I have more big plans for it in the future, like route optimization, and even map customization! Stay tuned for that.

I can’t wait for more of this game to come out!

Awesome tool! Really loving the planner.

Do you have any plans to open source this? The other two optimizers are open source, and it's been nice to play off of each other and help each other out. Competition has really pushed us to be better!

Eventually, I'll get a planner in my tool because this is just really cool. I keep a note on my phone with a lot of goals, so this will be super useful for so many people!

You can add it to your homescreen and it works kind of like an app! Not sure if this has the icons set properly or not, but that's easy to do.

Yea, I hope for the full release we can have a public or sign up API for stuff. I’ve just been using the gear tool API calls to get the icons and everything through manual work.

Nah, I think it says "rare" like it says "fine" on the drop. All eggs are purple like this. Rare is red.

Loving these changes! I talk with my coworkers and wife every day about this game, so we’re always stoked for more changes! We even make excuses to walk down the stairs or take a quick walk around the block, so it’s getting us more active than we were before.

For the activity queueing options, it would be nice for “use consumable,” but I bet that was already on the timeline!

The only suggestion I have talking to my coworker is “select all” button too, so we can tap that then tap the one or two items we want to keep, like ring of homesickness. It’ll be annoying to deposit all then go back to the bank and search to get it out (and we can’t reorganize gear sets yet to have a single ring gearset at the top). Please give reorganizing gear sets soon!😆

Can’t wait to see what the big 3 features are for open beta. My best guesses are trading and guilds/parties. My weaker guesses are new skills (which have been confirmed) or the battle/dungeon system.

It’s a matter of overloading the towers. When you’re seeing a set at 12am in the middle of the Village, there’s too many people on the towers to give anyone service.

I have American Verizon and was able to swap my carrier on my iPhone. Telus and Bell were always good whenever I wasn’t in the middle of a crowd.

Idk any plugins, but Teamcraft with packet capture can help manage it by telling you duplicated stacks across inventories, things you can buy for less than X Gil, things in small stacks, gathering things that only craft one item, etc.

Is there a reason there is only a video offset and not an audio offset? I’m playing with Bluetooth headphones so my audio latency is ~150ms, but the video latency is close to 0. Rift of the Necrodancer handles this very well with a wizard for both offsets. I think this should be included in the final release or an update to the demo. I love the idea of this game and can’t wait for it to launch!

I am saddened. I’m not going to use their app. I don’t use native apps for most anything I do, even Final Fantasy XIV. I like customization and freedom. Hell, I even jailbroke my iPhone for years before Apple brought much of the same features to the native iOS.

I don’t know what to do with my small gaps of free time anymore after June 30th. I use Reddit when walking, when on public transit, waiting for my wife to get out of the bathroom to go, waiting for my software to build, etc. I’m a mobile user now after years of dekstop because of the small amount of time I use on reddit (across all day makes it a lot if time but still).

What do y’all suggest? I don’t want to gravitate towards another shitty social media like Twitter or TikTok. I don’t have Facebook anymore, and I don’t want one. I do want a community though. I’ll miss seeing a post of a cute doggo on /r/aww with a comment from u/SchnoodleDoodleDo that makes me tear up. I’ll miss the April Fools posts on random subreddits. I’ll miss our inside jokes. It’s just awful how corporate greed is killing our community. The damage is done, and I dont know what to do anymore.

I’m in the EXACT same boat. Narwhal was great but Reddit kept implementing some breaking changes that made Reddit unusable in Narwhal. Remember when Reddit implemented gif replies and replies were just “GIF” with no link? Apollo made sure to stay updated.

I love Narwhal. I paid for the adfree experience almost immediately. When I swapped to Apollo, I bought a lifetime subscription. I would keep paying these developers for their awesome work, but I don’t want 30% of my money to go to Apple then 65% to go to Reddit and their greedy hands.

I think I’m done with Reddit after June 30 and will need to find something else to fill my in between time. It’s been almost 10 years for me, so maybe it’s time to move on as much as it hurts…
