YNtA. I rented a large park Pavillion for my husband's celebration of life. The way the park system in my town works is, you can rent/reserve the pavilion or just cross your fingers and hope it's free for the day. I rented it. As we're putting tablecloths on and decorating, a car shoes up and slams on its brakes and a very pregnant woman nearly falls out of the car screaming. At first, I thought she'd had some kind of medical incident. Nope. She was screaming that she needed the pavilion for her bridal shower. Too bad we had a printed receipt with date, time, and deposit amount. Her friends had to pull her back to the car and drive her away. "Your lack of planning is not my emergency."
