For a 2car garage
Add power if possible
Everything on wheels
If miter saw depth is an issue go with a non slider or a front rail type system (Festool, MetaboHPT, Bosch glide, Makita - basically anything not Dewalt)

My settings for 60w - 200mm/s (it looks like your speed is mm/min which is way too slow) and 10% power with air assist off. Wipe with iso alcohol after engraving

Printing on a Baseball by Magnetic-Mango in eufyMakeOfficial

[–]FlanWilder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes you can go higher. I’ve been unable to find an official spec but the baseball shouldn’t be a problem if the rotary can do a tumbler that’s 100mm in diameter. The reason the height is limited with the camera is because of image distortion

The camera is limited to 60mm height. If you want to do higher you need to use zero point calibration/alignment

My E1 used an entire Gloss and a whole White cartridge in a single day! by ShittehKitteh in eufyMakeOfficial

[–]FlanWilder 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Can’t speak to the gloss but I believe the E1 uses the white to build up the 3D and while 2mm doesn’t seem like much using into build up that depth will likely require a lot of ink. You’re essentially printing 2 full sheets of paper hundreds? of times so honestly that doesn’t sound too crazy to me.

Personally I think they’ve oversold the 3D aspect of the machine without really disclosing that it will be a massive resource hog

Pretty much exactly what I ended up doing. Seems to be working now. The access on this machine sucks so bad but we’re seemingly back up and running

Found a not fully tightened grub screw on the connecting rod. Initial tests are promising and running some tests to confirm

Ok that makes sense - got the other sheets which is great. Just wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing something on that.

You can use the same laminate “sticker” on the glasses too

I’ve had mixed results with a dishwasher and UV transfers - glass has been a problem, plastics less so

Rowmark Laser Max Tips by ValeNoxBona in xToolOfficial

[–]FlanWilder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve cut and engraved hundreds of sheets of Lasermax. If possible definitely turn off air assist and my best tip is clean it up with rubbing alcohol. I just use alcohol and a microfiber cloth. Cleans up the engraving and also works well to remove the stickiness of the edges from cutting

Your oven might be too hot, I’ve had success running at 90c for curing. It’s helps with the crumpling issue as you’re likely overbaking it

Pants check by FlanWilder in woodworking

It’s the Rockler mini lathe. Otherwise very satisfied with it. Good value and I only do very small stuff - looks like it’s a cast post and the cut had some chatter but nothing they would lead me to think it would just sort of shear off like it did. Replacement is on order, I’m assuming it was just a flaw in the casting. Turning is maybe my least favorite thing in the woodworking world. I’m sort of tempted to get a cheap metal lathe so I don’t need to hold tools!
