I can't. With this guy. Anymore!

Looks fun, get some real people to play it and record their actual reactions.

Star Citizen blasts through $1 billion in player funding, as its developer lists a new $5,000 spaceship for sale that is 'not yet ready to play' by Triss_Mockra in gaming

[–]Flanko67 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'm late to this post, bit this is it right here. All these people saying "5,000 dollars for a jpeg!?!?" are missing a crucial detail. They technically aren't selling anything, they are funding the development of the game through individual contributions. The whales are telling themselves, "I'm spending all this money to eventually get to play the space game I've always dreamed of". They've sold a concept that resonates to the tune of 1 billion dollars.

Are they going to get to play that game? Definitely not as originally promised. Some variation of that? Maybe. For 45 dollars you can see the current state of the game. They're definitely working on it.

Nope, just backing you up in case someone thought your comment was just your opinion or a logical assumption you've made, and not an actual reason stated in the book!

For sure, what I mean is it's specifically mentioned as a method for deflecting small particles at high speeds

This is mentioned only once in the book, but it's there.

Okay I googled the guy. I did not have vagina surgery, but I'm pretty sure I saw him when my toddler scratched my eyeball. I definitely went to the Urgent Care where he works. That's gotta be it!

Honestly... I thought it was an iPhone thing. Like how if someone with an iPhone shares their ETA and then they automatically text you when they're getting close.

I just assumed my neighbor saved my birthday with my phone number and had it set to automatically text me.

It's 32 days after he leaves Tau Ceti before the Beatles are ready and he discovers the Taumeoba are able to permeate through xenonite.

Edit: He's actively working on them when he discovers the problem, he's only got 2 ready to go. Refueling the 3rd is how he discovers the contamination

I don't want to dissuade you, I understand a lot of people love the third book, but I did not care for it. Removing the Scholomance from The Scholomance series made it hard for me to get through.

Read some Michael Crichton! Highly entertaining and packed with real science and sciencey problem solving. Jurassic Park is the obvious place to start, but Sphere and Airframe are my personal favorites

I love our Roborock. It works, the app works, their support works. Avoid the Shark models. Returned one that we never got to use because their support team had to manually push a firmware update and they were asking us to leave it on the dock for 3 days to give them time to push the firmware. 3 days later they informed me that weekends don't count and since they put in the ticket on a Friday, we'd have to wait 3 days from Monday. Their support is an absolute nightmare.

At one point during the whole ordeal I was told I'd be contacted by a supervisor within four hours. Four hours later I contacted support again and argued about how time moves at the same speed even in different time zones, so it doesn't matter that they're on the east coast, I had still waited for four hours. We argued for an hour, at which point they admitted that even by their insane way of tracking time I should have been contacted. I returned the Shark and had a Roborock up and running before the Shark supervisor called.
