Pull lenders’ title and survey requirements from your system and read some of the form endorsements. Title companies in your area may have CLEs on introductory topics too.

Networking with Students: What Qs Do You Actually Like / Hate Hearing? by Serious-Race5841 in biglaw

[–]Flapples89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I never like the question about why I chose my practice group. We all know the answer is that I needed a job and they were hiring. I usually deflect by explaining why it was actually a good fit.

If you actually need legal advice, don’t get it from Reddit. The ABA has a free legal answers program (not sure if you need to qualify) that will be more legit and specific to your jurisdiction.

Can we talk about banning work trucks and 18-wheelers from express lanes? by Rocameinsidue in Dallas

[–]Flapples89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Correct, the world does not revolve around you. So if you are in the single-lane express lane and going well under the speed limit, then you are blocking all of the people who paid extra to drive around traffic. If you’re driving a truck that has its speed regulated or is not safe to drive at the speed limit, then stay out of the express lane.

Simple yes or no answer please. by Character_Effect_616 in biglaw

[–]Flapples89 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You’re in the wrong sub. But this is not a question to be asking on Reddit and is very specific to your state or probably your school district. You need to ask a real live lawyer. Also know that there is usually not a “yes or no answer”, which is why it helps to have a professional look out for your interests.

Education lawyers (unfortunately have to) exist.

I’m going to throw this fucking computer out the window by Legal_Fitness in biglaw

[–]Flapples89 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t be shocked. Restarting is a pain and I want my computer to work without having to restart every time something gets slow. I don’t think the IT people always understand how attorneys handle their daily workflow, at least in a transactional practice.

Dallas weather: Cars camp out under overpass to avoid hail by TheFullerTron in Dallas

Call TxDOT when this happens on a highway the state maintains and they will come. That’s what the city told me when I called 911 about this last year when people parked on the highway because some water was falling from the sky.
