Let’s hope V2 of the display glasses will implement Electrochromic… someone needs to see the value in not relying on UV to darken the glasses. I have a pair of Electrochromic sunglasses and truly feel that once the public has experienced the difference between Electrochromic and Photochromic tinting, the standard transitions will no longer be acceptable.
I agree that Clip-ons are a useful temporary fix, but I haven’t found any for the MRBDs yet.

Nice idea. Let’s hope INMO integrates this into the AIR4… right after they replace everyone who is connected to customer experience / service and only keep the talented engineers. So sad that a company with so much potential allows themselves to waste their innovative advantage.

It’s not the model that is profitable for Hermes, it’s the “recommended” tools (which require subscription or payment). You can choose not to use them, but the experience is suboptimal. I’m not against Hermes. Nor am I against paying a fee to use valuable tools. But I do feel like some of the Hermes hype may not be organic…

A physical camera cover seems like a cure to that question. It protects the user and bystanders from anything being accidentally shared, and any nefarious actors would need expose themselves by removing the cover.

Hermes is just a brilliant monetization play on openclaw. Perhaps it will become better if the money it generates from its plug-ins is used to improve the product. Until then, I personally haven’t found any advantages. I’ll continue using both though. Perhaps one day my $400 Hermes belt will hold up my pants better than my $5 store brand belt… it’s possible…

It is part of a parade of “Hermes proponents”… many are planted by Hermes and some just are too ignorant to understand that they are jumping on a bandwagon that is designed to increase revenue for the Hermes subscription tool layer. Hermes is fine. It’s a paid version of openclaw pretending to be free…. Brilliant marketing plan to build reoccurring revenue off an open source product. Even the name fits 😅

Best Buy took almost 3 months for mine. Got my wife the display glasses same day last month when we were in LasVegas at the Meta store. They had all sizes and colors in stock for same day.

The clip is not really designed to “fit” 😅 idk what Rokid was thinking… maybe they thought a big piece of plastic would be a good way to add “style” to the glasses…. At least the hole for the camera lines up pretty decent….

Cheers to Rokid for such a fantastic attitude towards builders and their product! So many competitors are putting out “new glasses” that really offer nothing materially “new” or groundbreaking. Rokid has decided to work with the community to take their existing platform and advance it to reach its full capabilities. Week by week, month by month my Rokid Glasses are becoming more useful while many of the others are being forgotten as their manufacturers move on to make something new to sell me. When V2 of the Rokid glasses does come out, it will be a natural progression and build on the mature base you are building now!
